Band CN Blue's drummer/actor Kang Min Hyuk (aged 24) will have hits debut as the main protagonist- his first ever solo fan meeting 'The Moment'
On 17th of June, his agency FNC Entertainment has announced that "special memories" of Kang Min Hyuk will be for Thai local fans on July 25th in Bangkok, Central Sami Lao Plaza.
So Thai fans- get ready to see Min Hyuk at your local area!
This fan meeting is a place by himself for the first time, he will be meeting fans and showcasing a variety of attractions he has never done before.
The agency said, "Min Hyuk is showing an extraordinary enthusiasm to offer such a program ideas directly ahead of the first fan meeting."
In year 2010 the band CNBLUE debuted as singers so it was a starting step for Kang Min-Hyuk. He also starred in a number of dramas such as My Husband Got a Family (2012) The Heirs (2013), Crime Scene 2 and various entertainment programs such as My Brave Family with AOA's Seolhyun, actor Lee Mun Shik, Choi Jung Won and Shim Hye Jin.
Cable channel tVN has released its first broadcast of the drama 'Hide Your Identity- 신분을 숨겨라 (PD Kim Jung Min, Scriptwriter Kang Hyun Sung). The drama started out smoothly with 2% ratings from viewers which is one of the highest so far.
According to audience measurement company Nielsen Korea, on the 16th of June the drama- Hide your identity managed to burnt through the night propagating first time the average rating was 2.3%, the highest viewership moment was 3% since first day of broadcast, it took place in two consecutive stations. Wow!
The drama focuses on cops especially on central government special investigation team. It's an action thrilling sweeping drama whereby Investigation Team 5 - Cha Geun Woo (played by Kim Bum), Jang Mu Won (played by Park Sung Woong), Jang Min Joo (played by Yoon So Yi), Choi Tae Pyeong (played by Lee Won Jong). The drama is on incognito eavesdropping, interception, infiltratio in violent crime investigations are centralized in it.
Kim Bum has certainly shown a different image to his previous roles...he has buffed up and lost quite a substantial of weight compared to his pretty boy looks. Impressed... mmm...
On the first day of broadcast it is shown the character Cha Geun Woo has joined the Team 5. Last year the drama "Bad Guys" directed by PD Kim Jung Min scored 4% in ratings took over the the audience by storm.
Continuation from the More-more-more trip to the North- the members could not enter Goseong Industrial Complex at Panmunjeom due to restricted filming access. So they stood at the front gate around 4km. At night they started reading their 10 years future prophecy to each other and what they would be doing. Jongmin hillariously said Taehyun would be having his 5th child and Jun Young living a gypsy care free life! But everyone mentioned that Ju Hyeok would be having his 60th birthday bash and not married! LOL!
As expected, the casts of 1N2D have invited their closest female friends to the show. First to turn up is Defconn's friend who is Girl's Day Minah. She was all giggling away and said Hi. Next was Shinji who has appeared in Season 1 and 2 alongside Jongmin. Junho has invited his female gag woman Kim Sook who is funnier than ever. Ju Hyeok announced that everyone will be surprised to see his female friend who is actress Moon Geun Yeung to all members squealed upon seeing her. Out of sudden Minah, Shinji and Sook were casted aside under the drizzle. When everyone hears Taehyun's name the first person that comes to mind is none other than actress Park Bo Young, the guys went nuts again, ignoring their own friends. Jun Young invited 80s singer Lee Jung Hyun who has rose in popularity in China. She has also once appeared in the drama Beautiful Days as Choi Ji Woo's bratty orphanage sister.
They are head off to Chuncheon via KTX since they gathered at Yongsan station. However first mission is winning the egg-sprite snacks to be eaten on the train. Kim Sook went first and smashed the raw egg on Junho's forehead. The same goes with Shinji as she got her revenge on Jongmin. It was a battle between Decfonn and Taehyun however Bo Young's instincts were right so she picked the hard boiled egg. Next was the sprite- some teams wrongly picked salted water instead of sprite. In the KTX train, each team were to introduce themselves on how they knew each other and became friends. Everyone commented that Bo Young and Taehyun looked like father-daughter as they portrayed in the movie Speedy Scandal.
Geun Yeung took the opportunity to drive her pals in the car since she just got her driving license last year but she got into a car accident the day before. Junho and Ju Hyeok were practically holding the car handles as Geun Yeung they won't die sitting in the car driven by her. Hahah!
As she sped up the car started beeping and Ju Hyeok told her to slow down. Junho stuck out his head to tease Jongmin's car when his own hat flew away within seconds! Lol!
Upon arriving at Chuncheon, they have to play games at the Amusement park in order to win lunch. Chuncheon is famous for the spicy chicken ribs (Ddak galbi) and some guksu.
They are grouped in age...Minah with Bo Young, Jung Hyun with Shinji and Geun Yeung with Kim Sook. There are 3 groups altogether. So first round is each female friend is to sit on the spinning swing ride and she has to wear the shoes and throw it to their male friends who are standing at the side. If the members managed to catch the shoe, they win the lunch game. It was rather difficult since the spinning was so fast and shoes ended up flying everywhere. But Jung Hyun and Shinji were amazing as they did it on the first try. Their group managed to pick great lunches. Jun Young indeed has good luck since Jongmin has all the downside. Immediately Minah and Bo Young decided to forego lunch since they are losing as to head to the next scene of the game.

Actor Joo Won and actress Kim Tae Hee are confirmed to star in the new drama entitled Yong Pal 용팔이. The two have met for their first meeting for their first collaboration together.
It's been a while since we last saw Kim Tae Hee in the sageuk drama Jang Ok Jung alongside with Yoo Ah In. As for Joo Won, he was in the failure drama Cantabile Tomorrow and I don't find the drama exciting as it was- literally boring as hell. On the 15th June, they went for their very first script reading at Mokdong.
The story is about a man who struggles to pay debt while his sister is to undergo kidney dialysis. Kim Tae Hee will portray a chaebol heiress and Joo Won is the poor fella.
As far as I am concerned, Joo Won's best role was in Good Doctor....well played and he deserved the awards - not forget he has good chemisty with Moon Chae Won and the stern boss played by Jo Sang Wook. Kim Tae Hee's roles were mostly bland and doesn't stand as much as I'd like her to be. She was off in her role in My Princess with Song Seung Hun but picked up a bit in Jang Ok Jung...still there is room for improvement.
Let's hope this new drama will be a good one for her!
The writer for this drama has also written the Protect The Boss, Reset, Silly Mom, God's Gift- 14 Days. PD Lee Dong Hoon is one behind the cameras for this drama. Once the current popular drama Mask by Soo Ae and Joo Ji Hoon finishes, Yong Pal will take over the slot time.
On 16th June 2015m, actor Seo In Guk and actress Jang Na Ra attended the press conference for their upcoming drama 'I Remember You- 너를 기억해' from KBS station. Originally the title of the drama is Hello Monster but in Korean it literally means I remember you. Another so-called noona-dongsaeng storyline I suppose...as we can see Jang Nara is the older actress playing opposite Seo In Guk who is considered a 'baby' since he he hasn't been into military services as yet.
The poster itself promises a great storyline and sexy look of Jang Nara...this woman hasn't even aged at all ever since I first saw her drama in My Love Patzi with Kim Jae Won and Kim Rae Won. It's amazing how she has that baby face and petite figure. Seo In Guk plays at Lee Hyun who is a great criminal profiler. But the flaw is he possesses a spiteful tongue.
He meets his destiny- a policewoman Cha Ji Ahn who is played by Jang Nara. Both of them happened to work together and develops a romantic relationship.
Co-stars for this drama includes Choi Won Young (last seen in Kill Me Heal Me as Ji Sung's PA), Lee Chun Hee (he last cameo in Producers), young starlet Park Bo Geum for Reply 1988 drama, veteran Jung Gwang Ryul, Kim Jae Young and Im Ji Eun. Also for EXO fans, get ready as you will be seeing D.O (Do Kyung Soo) appearing in first 2 episodes of this drama.
I Remember You takes over the slot Who Are You? 2015 once it ends.
The recent episode of Running Man have all the ladies go swooning away. Even the writers and the wives of the guest musical actress to singer Byul were giggling away upon seeing Jo In Sung turned up to cheer on Lee Kwang Soo. Song Joong Ki who came out from army not long ago went to say Hi to all the crew members and production team since he was a cast member of RM before.
Kwang Soo usually has so much of his say and he bluttered out that Joong Ki wanted to say Hi to everyone and blah...blah. So Jae Suk whispered telling him to stop talking as he talks so much that no one else had the opportunity to say anything. Kwangsoo consistently denied and said he wasn't interupting until In Sung stepped in to gave him a comic slap (Jjak!) on the cheek to straighten him up. Muahaha! With his straight faced, he asked if Kwang Soo was that kind of person? Everyone clapped laughed and Ha Ha rejoiced that Jo In Sung did the perfect job.
Jae Suk pointed out that RM wanted to invite In Sung for once to the program but immediately he shot down the invitation- he said his schedule doesn't permit that. Joong Ki honestly said In Sung doesn't have anything lined up so he isn't busy at all. Seeing the main PD and writer in front holding a note pad with a pen, Jae Suk walked up to her saying she is definitely hoping for 'his' autograph (as in Jae Suk's autograph when she was eyeing for Jo In Sung's autograph) All burst into laughters as they couldn't imagine Jae Suk could be so thick-skinned. LOL!
Joong Ki introduced himself and said he is just here to say Hi to everyone and next time he will come back for a real visit with a hint that In Sung is very free so feel free to kidnap him at anytime. He was in shocked and when Jong Kook said they will come over to his house to kidnap him. In Sung quickly blurted out he will call the police if they do so. Comedy relief!
It's amazing to see all women start rolling their eyes and have other intentions whenever they see a good looking actor appear. And we can expect that whenever Jo In Sung turns up. The episode ratings of 2 Days 1 Night skyrocketed to 20%+ when Cha Tae Hyun unexpectedly invited him over to Silmido. He even went on the program displaying various competitiveness and laughters. Everyone felt they look like a "squid" compared to his magnificient height and good looks. Aaah...how I wish I could see him in real person too.
The hype for KBS drama Producers will soon come to an end on June 20th. And all the big hoo-haa because of Kim Soo Hyun and IU in it. But it's been quite overated as I feel Cha Tae Hyun's character was never expanded or been emphasized a lot.
Though the trailer and poster promotions shown PD Ra Joon Mo and PD Tak Ye Jin were the leads however Joon Mo's character was blunt and remains as it is until episode 10. I am rather disappointed with how the storyline has gone. As far as I like Kim Soo Hyun in any dramas, I was hoping for more development and funnier episodes featuring Cha Tae Hyun. But there is none....I was so looking forward to Joon Mo's comical scenes but ...mmm...too few to be named... .!
And Episode 10 ends with Baek Seung Chan swopping in for a swing-kiss with his senior Ye Jin after confessing his feelings for her....that moment my heart fell off to another level. LOL!
It was a good shot but I wasn't expecting that. So what does that leave Joon Mo with? But I can't blame Seung Chan too because Joon Mo isn't stepping up to do anything better in order to gain back Ye Jin. With 25 years of long friendship, eventually he doesn't know what to do in order not to jeopardize their good relationship. But it really got on my nerves that how could Ye Jin be so dense and silly not to catch what Joon Mo tells her? Urrgh! She was a smarty-pants to nose meddle into others' problems but then she is so clueless when the man she likes is telling her not to leave his apartment. Duh!!!
And the fact that they emphasize so much on the body of the half-dead looking maknae writer of MU-Bank- Da Jung is unnecessary. To be honest, she wasn't pretty or that sexy- I bet any other girls would look nicer than her... and I don't know how she could still retain her job at the TV station in the first place. Probably flaunting her body assets....Aigooo!
There are flaws...indeed several flaws in this drama written by Park Ji Eun. Her epilogues written in My Love from Another Star was far more interesting and we look forward to...
BUT...but in Producers, the epilogues are leaving viewers in blank looks and we don't know what to expect.
For shippers of 'Brolly couple'- Cindy and Seung Chan- I don't see any hopes in this couple. It's obvious Seung Chan doesn't have a thing for Cindy and she was the only one with one-sided love. I guess in order to remain the top singer and contracts, the character Cindy will have to fend for herself against the evil "CEO Byun-pire" and love-relationships come last. And I have to say I'm getting tired with the noona-dongsaeng pairing. Kim Soo Hyun has a few older actresses playing as his partner and I was hoping this time it'd be different.
Whether another 2 episodes to go--- would there be a twist of story where Joon Mo pulls back Ye Jin to his side? Or will Ye Jin just simply accept Seung Chan as the way he is? I can imagine his entire family will rant non stop since his mother is cautious over Ye Jin being a picky senior on his son and they are expecting a better future daughter in law.
The screen is heating up...writer Park Ji Eun is famous for her popular scripts and works such as Queen of Housewives, My Husband Got a Family and My Love from The Star. Her works often get A-list actors and actresses in it. Somehow even cameos appearing in her dramas are worth while to watch and you bet....she's got cameos than ever appearing in her new drama Producers.
The popular drama Producers have already came up with several cameos from the first few episodes from Jo Yoon Hee, TaeTiSeo (Girls Generation), Shin Dong Yub, Lee Seung Gi, Yoo Hee Yeol, Yoon Jong Shin, Jang Hyuk, Jeon Hyun Moo, EXID's Hani, Cutwo, Lee Young Ja, JY Park, Lee Chun Hee, 2NE1's Sandara Park, Jo Kwon, 2PM's Nickhun, GOT7's Jackson, 2D1N's PD Ryu Ho Jin, Go Ah Ra, Yoon Yoo Jung, Hyun Young, Geum Bo Ra...etc
n fact there are more to appear in the coming episodes such as singer K-Will, Super Junior's Ryeo Wook, actor Park Bo Geum along with Superstar K's singers- Roy Kim and Jung Jun Young. It'd be a great favour for Jun Young since he's a permanent member of 2 Days 1 Night program along with Cha Tae Hyun. Roy Kim has also appeared in one of the hillarious 2D1N episode before as Jun Young's struggling friend.
Despite Producers is a short mini-series drama slotted under KBS on Friday and Saturday nights, the ratings were consistent with the huge popularity of 4 big stars in the drama.
With 4 more episodes to go, I wish there is more story development on Ra Joon Mo and Tak Yeh Jin. We are on high hopes that it will NOT be another noona-dongsaeng love line as Baek Seung Chan has too much crush and one sided love on older woman from university days with no result.
So c'mon... there should be more story and funnier scenes for Cha Tae Hyun and Gong Hyo Jin although the petty jealousy skills played by Kim Soo Hyun cracks everyone up. IU is getting there though her character has yet to be cracked out from the shell (like a bird).
Park Ji Eun scriptwriter is definitely fond of using classic old novels in her dramas since she used The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane for My Love from the Star and now she uses Demian Quotes in Producers.
I had a good read from The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane- it's a pretty good book to read especially at night or when you are very bored. Lightens up your mood about the rabbit travelling far away and his journey from different owners.

Episode 397 of 1 Night 2 Days featured the cast members burying their time capsule in the ground (as they start their own prediction when they would want the Reunification of North and South Korea to happen). Jun Ho hopes to reunite ASAP when the rest starts to ponder will it ever happen within the coming 10-20 years. Sighs...we know it won't happen...
They then headed to visit the natural landscapes and beauty of Northern site (quite near the border of North Korea) It's the concept of More-more-more Trip 더더더 여행. The ratings hit at 13.2% nationwide for this episode. At this episode their prophecy book written by each members will turn reality (such as who will skip lunch, who will dip into the water, who will sleep outdoors). For the loser of each game and the ones who wrote the names of which member to lose will end up doing the same thing! Ha ha! First they were headed to 38.07 north latitude at the waterfalls area to do a lunch bokbulbok. Winners will get to feast on duck porridge, abalone...etc (herbal feast). Two members per team play the game of using laundry pegs on their nose. It was a painful game especially Jun Ho was whining all the way and surprisingly Defconn was the loser. They could hear shooting and explosion sounds at the waterfall area since it's near the border and soldiers are doing their daily routine as a way to protect their country from enemies (from the North!)
Second mission is skinnydip into the water for the losers...they have to play wrestling or what Koreans called ssireum at a lake area - Goseokjong - 38.18 latitude of North. Tae Hyun pointed out when he was playing as Jeon Woo Chi in the drama, the CG effects had him flying here and there. In Hur Jun drama, Kim Ju Hyeok's character is seeing his wife leaving in a boat. After a fierce struggle of wrestling, Tae Hyun, Jun Ho and Defconn have to dive into the water by the cliff. Jong Min, Jun Young and Ju Hyeok sat on the boat as referees giving them scores for their diving techniques. It's how funny seeing Tae Hyun clinging on the cliff like a clam. However he did the best in diving with a spin. Jun Ho looks more like he fell into the pond instead of diving. They complained their butts hurt while diving into the water. Getting to the final destination of this trip is going further north latitude was at 38.27 latitude- at the train bridge towards Mt Geumgang. This mountain is famous for its beauty near North Korea. The place is limited for civil members zone where it's heavily guarded by soldiers at the borders. Defconn pointed people do their usual farming at their area but they could feel the tension near the borders.
Mt Geumgang is an electric railway bridge that has been closed for years and it connects the Naegeumgang station of Mt. Cheorwon, Gangwon-do- it's the first ever electric railway bridge. The bridge has somehow been blocked and marked 'danger' because of landmines and towards North Korea.
They saw the bullet holes and marks on the bridge where once it stood the big war between both countries. Members were thrilled to be able to come and see this once in their life-time. To be honest, we as tourists wouldn't be coming here as DMZ and Panmunjeom are the only areas for people like us. The broken railway bridge has impassable landscape with lush greenery and barbed wire at the end. Jun Ho did the reenactment scene of the film Peppermint Candy - famous quote- I want to go back now!
Right in front of their very eyes would be North Korea and DMZ zone- around 4 km from the river area. Cameras are not allowed to film onwards for security purposes. A working Lieutenant mentioned that if they are ready- anytime is a good time for reunification- just depends on the circumstances. Just when are they ready? Mmmm...we ponder again...
There are various wild animals on the other site such as hogs, water deers and raccoons could be spotted at the landmines. Jun Young asked a silly question using water deers to detect landmines.
In the evening they are back to the base camp of where they started and planted their time capsule. 100 plastic containers with straws contained Americano and Fish Sauce are on the table. Each member is to pick 3. If they pick the first drink is coffee- the two must be coffee in order to win the mission. Jong Min, Jun Ho and Ju Hyeok picked Fish Sauce so they must continuously pick fish sauce. Tae Hyun, Jun Young and Defconn were to pick Americano.
Jong Min wins the final game while Tae Hyun ends up losing and felt insulted that every member wrote his name in the prophecy book that he will have to sleep outdoors. LOL!
Btw- the original PD Ho was suffering shingles that first half of the episode, he ended up going home leaving another woman PD to take charge of the cast. Poor him...hope he has a speedy recovery.
Han Hyo Joo is back into the screen...yay! It's been a while since I last saw her in any dramas or movies. The last drama she was in was sageuk drama Dong Yi. Not long ago she was in some big production movies such as Cold Eyes with Sol Kyung Gu and Jeong Woo Sung. She was then casted in C'est si bon with Jung Woo, Kim Yoon Seok and Kim Hee Ae.
This year, she returns in big screen with the new movie- Beauty Inside featuring tons of actors and actresses playing alongside with her. Lucky woman!
So what's the plot of this movie? Simple!- It's just one same guy Kim Woo Jin who wakes up everytime as a different person and the only person he loves is the same woman Yi Soo.
Han Hyo Joo plays Yi Soo who knows the secret about Woo Jin's different personality change.

For those who remember Kim Dae Myung as the Rep Kim in tVN's drama Misaeng- he's an oddball with curly hair. Funny dude but he's such a big teddy in front of Jang Geu Rae.
Lee Jin Wook must be busy lately since he's lined up for the new drama with Ha Ji Won. Go Ah Sung receiving her fame from Heard It Through the Grapevine series while Seo Kang Joon is filming his current drama Splendid Politics and Yoo Yeon Suk with Warm and Cozy drama. I am happy to see a various line up of actors for this movie. It'd be interesting to see how it's been played by different age gap of actors.
The release date for this movie is expected to be on big screens in July to mid August 2015. This is because due to the current outbreak of MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) in South Korea.
