Yoo Yoon Jung guests in Master in the House.

Location is at Pyeongchang-dong- one of the most influential district whereby most rich families and chaebol people are living here. First to arrive is Seung Gi dressed in a typical boyfriend look. He is curious to know who will be their Master for two days. Next up is Sung Jae who has a nerdy look with specs followed by Sang Yun who is spotted with new hair cut to look younger for upcoming drama. Last to arrive is Se Hyung who looked total outcast with his big long parka and beanie. Seung Gi laughed stating he should wear that in last week's trip to Inje where it was snowing and freezing cold. It's a cold winter day but with bright sun up.

The four butlers were informed that their new Master lives in Pyeongchang-dong which means he is a rich and influential person. A-hem! Also they were told their master is a woman! Oooh!
All Seung Gi had in mind was TWICE girl group. Sighs... Se Hyung wished it was actress Jeon Ji Hyun whom he admired all these years for her everlasting beauty, Sung Jae hoped it was singer Lee Sun Hee. Sang Yun's excellent answer was someone pretty to where Seung Gi clapped in agreement... The rest just joked stating their Hyung is searching for future bride, not find his Master. PD has an emergency situation whereby their Master's house pipes were frozen and broke. So they cannot spend overnight at the house. So she earnestly apologized and asked if the overnight stay has to be in one of the butlers' house. All kept so quiet.

                        

Sung Jae was first to say no because he shares the apartment with rest of BTOB members. 
Se Hyung quickly butt in saying his place is also shared with younger brother. That leaves only option is Seung Gi and Sang Yun. Oh-oh! Seung Gi shoots down saying he has two crocs as pets in the place while Sang Yun has a gut feeling they will choose to cram at his place. Hah!
PD tells them the chosen place will win $1000 worth of electrical appliances. Immediately all except Sang Yun started inviting for their Master to come over. They suggested to play a game to determine whose place will be the Master's overnight stay. It turns out Sung Jae as the winner. He sighed further because their Master is no other than veteran actress Yoo Yoon Jung. Seung Gi knows Actress Yoo is not easy to handle. Sang Yun who has worked with her before carefully advises them that Yoo is very serious and doesn't laugh in drama/movie sets.
Se Hyung scratches his head pondering this is bad as they can't laugh for next 2 days.

The 4 butlers arrived at Yoo's villa and all hesitant to press the door bell. Seung Gi finally made his move and Yoo immediately opened the front door for them. At last Yoo Yoon Jung came out to greet them. All of them bowed 90 degrees to her. She started grumbling on the freezing weather and her home pipes have burst. Seung Gi advises that she will need to spend overnight somewhere and she bluntly said she doesn't sleep at people's place. Uh-oh! Somehow they have to persuade the veteran actress to do so. Yoon got dressed and took them to a nice restaurant for lunch. Yoon knows Seung Gi and Sang Yun from previous works. She notices Se Hyung from TV too however Sung Jae is a total new face to her. She apologises she doesn't know any idols at all and didn't watch fantasy genre drama Goblin! 

                          

Se Hyung was careful in talking to her with very polite gestures. Still she reckons he is over reacting with exclamations all the time. At lunch table, they were treated with yummy food suited for her taste. Yoo hardly goes out these days because of the flu season. She has been taking lots of Vitamin C. As they were discussing about their memories working together in dramas, Sung Jae starts feeling worry about persuading the actress to stay overnight at his apartment.
Se Hyung thinks Yoo is angry towards everyone where she admits she is serious in work but she isn't insane to an extent that she goes around nagging at everyone she doesn't know. LOL!
Everyone is quite amazed with Yoo asking for white wine with ice in it. Huh? That's rather strange as Se Hyung reckons it's so extravagant but she says people thinks she is weird.
Four butlers decided to follow their Master's unique wine taste with cold ice! Sung Jae quickly made his move to confirm Yoo will be spending a night at his apartment. He rushed back to the nearest mall buying new bed spreads, pillows, air fragrance, oranges and bouquet of flowers to welcome his new Master. They have an hour to clean up, install cameras for Yoo has gone to attend a funeral while the 3 butlers are on their way. 

Four butlers gathered together and started preparing to welcome their Master. Sang Yun stays in the same building so he went upstairs to grab his portable speakers. Yoo arrived with Sang Yun escorting her up the elevator, Seung Gi waited at the floor, Se Hyung looking like a bar tender with wine and chocolates at the door step. She was surprised to see so many oranges neatly arranged at the floor with spotlights shining down on them. As she headed to her bedroom for the night, Sung Jae stood there with a bouquet of flowers for her. Awww....she was touched with the kind gesture and oranges arranged in a heart shape on the bed. They decided to have a nice chat at lounge room. Sung Jae tried to impress with white wine and sparkling wine. Seung Gi tries opening the bottle of Sparking resulting all foam dished out on the sofa, couch and Sang Yun's hoodie. Now everyone has to clean up the mess while Yoo commented if they did that at her home, she'd have kicked them out! Ha ha! Lucky for the pipes burst! Phew!
Yoo was shown some self-help books to which she dissed out those were doesn't work at all.
For the night, they decided to play a game by asking a question and uses The Book of Answers. Seung Gi asked first question- when will he get his next kiss? The Book answered him- 'Stimulate your Appetite'. Muahahaha! Se Hyung noted the answer hinted on Seung Gi's sexual appetite... Sung Jae collapsed on floor laughing away. Yoo shook his head when Se Hyung noted it has to do with 'soul'....Seung Gi is probably not serious in questions. Again Seung Gi asked if will he tie the knot in his 30's? The book gave another unique answer where Sang Yun laughed out loud. Se Hyung starts asking serious questions relating to Yoo. She laughed and wonders why can't they ask her directly instead of relying on the book. Sang Yun was a bit sceptical but he was tempted to ask if his new drama will be successful.

It was time to retire to bed for veteran actress. She washed up and changed to PJs. The butlers were outside suggesting someone must sleep in front of the bed room door in case their Master wakes up early. Se Hyung suggested a silly game- splashing water on the face with eyes wide open. Sang Yun noted this is impossible to do so. It's a normal reaction one shuts their eyes when something get splash to the face. It went for several rounds especially the tense revenge between Seung Gi and Se Hyung. At first their laughter's were rather quiet but slowly it went louder until Yoo peeked through the door asking when are they going to stop? Oh-oh!

Park Seo Jun in tVN drama- Why Secretary Kim?

Actor Park Seo Jun (30) will be the main lead in tVN upcoming new drama 'Why Secretary Kim-김비서가 왜 그럴까 written by Jung Eun Yeong and directed by PD Park Jun Ha.

                       

Why Secretary Kim is based on a web novel by novelist Jeong Kyung Yoon.


It depicts the romance of Lee Young Jun, a second generation chaebol with his abilities and looks and everything with the secretary Kim Mi So, who has been a brilliant PA to him. Park Seo Jun will play as Lee Young Jun while actress Park Min Young has PA Kim Mi So's role.
Does this remind something similar to The Jugglers? Boss and secretary relationship....?

The production crew has mentioned in addition to the web novels, it is a romantic drama that will make the viewers' hearts pounding via spectacular acting skills from Park Seo Jun as well part of theoriginal work created by Webtoon.

Infinite Challenge PD Kim Tae Ho passes on the baton.

After 12 years of producing Infinite Challenge episodes, finally PD Kim Tae Ho is passing the baton to someone else.

PD Kim Tae Ho (43) is leaving the direction of Infinite Challenge since its first broadcast in 2006. According to the MBC on the 27th Feb, PD Kim will be stepping down from the main PD position in 'Infinite Challenge' with upcoming Spring reorganisation at the end of next month.

However an MBC official said, "PD Kim is going to handle some work related with 'Infinite Challenge' in some way." In fact PD Kim has revealed the misery of having to give new items every week in various places. In connection with this discussion of the season, several rumours have surfaced that he is going to get an 'Infinite Challenge'. 

In January, MBC's President Choi Seung-ho has hinted that PD Kim Tae Ho is preparing for a "new thing" at the New Year's press conference. With the change of PD Kim's release, it is said that IC will also be broadcast in a different form than before. 

 On the other hand, the position of PD Kim is succeeded by PD Choi Haeng Ho.

SHINee's Japan concert in memory of Jonghyun.

Group SHINee with remaining four members- Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin has commemorated their fellow late member Jong Hyun (1990-2017) who left them abruptly end of last year in the recent Japan's concert.

          

According to Japanese media- Oricon style on the 28th February, fellow SHINee members shed tears in remembrance of Jonghyun at 'SHINee World Best 2018' at Tokyo Dome on the 27th February 2018.

"We are still five members in the group, so please do not forget Jonghyun."


On the day, SHINee also showcased two new songs such as 'From Now On' and 'Every Time' recorded by five members. In addition to the images of Jonghyun displayed on the big screen, Jonghyun's vocals can be heard through the song- "Love".

This concert was held at Osaka Kyocera Dome in Tokyo Dome on the 17th ~ 18th, and Tokyo Dome on 26-27th. A total of 180,000 people gathered for a total of four performances in the cities.

7-member group BTOB as tourist ambassadors.

Hallyu group BTOB has been appointed as the tourist ambassadors. 

The Korea Tourism Organization (KNTO) will hold a ceremony at the Daedong Tourist Corporation Seoul Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul on 27th February. 


BTOB is a male seven-member group from Cube Entertainment. Since their debut in 2012, members have been active in various fields such as music, drama including musicals. 
Members Eun Kwang has participated in musicals, Yook Sung Jae is a familiar face in big dramas and variety shows, rest of members are often seen in music programs.

BTOB will start the promotion ceremony of public relations ambassadors activities with KNTO. 

The 7 major Korean contents (performance, traditional market, sports) are presented through the 7-colours. 7-colours Korea Tour, which takes advantage of the individuality of the 7 members, as well as participating in promotional events held in Korea and abroad, cruises, events, food and unique experiences to the world more effectively.

The period of public relations ambassadors is until the end of this year.

In the meantime, group Big Bang and actor Lee Jong Suk have been promoting actively as Korean tourism ambassadors.

Queen of Mystery Season II with Kwon Sang Woo.

PD Choi Yoon Suk has suggested if Season 2 of Queen of Mystery drama is well accepted by the viewers, there is a possibility of Season 3. Lead actor Kwon Sang Woo has also mentioned that this is KBS power for this drama. 

KBS2TV new drama Queen of Mystery 2 is started to air this week. The Season 2 will be more comical, romance and melo-drama.  Last year's highest audience rating for Season 1 peaked at 11.6% (based on Nielsen Korea).

            

Season 2 features Kwon Sang Woo, Choi Kang Hee, Kim Hyun Suk who were the mains in the first part. Additional casts include Oh Min Suk as and Gye Sung Woo as Kim Won Hae as Jo In Ho in the police station team. Following the divorce of housewife Yoo Seol Ok (played by Choi), the scale is getting bigger with her being involved heavily with the police team as part of investigations. The villains will be the biggest highlight where audience have never seen before. 

Detective Ha Wan Seung (played by Kwon) in Police Unit Team 2 is doing his best again.
The police station scenes were done nicely and scripts were well written too.
Regarding the audience rating confrontation with the same time zone competition, the audience ratings are set to return. Kim Hyun Suk plays the role of Kim Kyung Mi- who is Seol Ok's best friend, part of the police team.

Queen of Mystery 2 will be aired on 28th February 2018. 

Infinite Challenge- H.O.T reunion (Part 2)

Infinite Challenge members were given a mission or so-called challenge- that is to learn the choreography of H.O.T's "We Are the Future" dance. It was a big hit during the late 90's when the dance title was released under H.O.T's 2nd album. Until today the current idols from TVXQ, Super Junior, EXO and even Wanna One have covered the dance song. The handsome choreographer of SM who taught Jae Suk for EXO's Dancing King is back to coach the old men. It has proven much difficulty for Myung Soo and Jun Ha who struggled to memorise by hard the moves. Surprisingly Haha and Se Hyung reenacted the exact movements impressing everyone. PD tells them the dance requires only 5 members but I.C. cast have 6 members' so that means one sloppy member has to drop out if he can't follow the rhythms.

Hee Jun continues his private gym lessons with an American trainer who dissed him out that he doesn't know who H.O.T members are...ouch! As for Kang Ta, Jae Won and Tony- the trio were busy practising in the studio while perfectionist Woo Hyuk kept watching old videos to ensure his moves are correct. Tony kept making mistakes whereby Kang Ta tells him to treat all the 300 over staffs coffee if he still missed out his steps. The Olympic stadium venue started preparing banners, stage, lighting's from many generous sponsors. Fans were going all giddy and excited to return to their childhood days. Aww... female fans were dressed in school uniforms, wearing the white H.O.T fan club rain coats, carrying white balloons, male fans dressed in Candy costumes...etc- it was a mini fashion parade in the audience. Some female fans even brought their babies and children along to the concert venue.

           

I.C. casts met up with H.O.T members backstage - all dressed back in their 90's look. Haha grumbled he wanted the hairstyle like Kang Ta's but somehow Haha looked more like his mother! Now it's show time.. It's time to wind back to 1996 where the group started off and became a wide sensation to the fans in South Korea. The first song of the night was Warriors of Descendants. Woo Hyuk's powerful rap at the start made all fans swooned. Their dance moves were not lacking at all after a month of practising. Their stylists have styled their hair and make up to look younger. Concert continued with hits such as Candy, Happiness and Hope. Everyone was smiling happily to see their idols. Behind stage, Se Hyung was brimming with tears and kept praising Kang Ta's youthful looks on stage. Members were full of charisma on stage. The female fans who are married have all returned back to their teens singing along and chanting away. Second highlight was actually the I.C casts to perform We are the Future. The audience cracked up upon seeing their wigs, costumes and not-so synchronised dancing. When it came to Haha's important part, he slipped and everyone just laughed. The rest had to continue dancing without ruining further. Off stage, Haha laughed off stating he can't see anything with the bloody wig and bangs hindering his sight! LOL! Of course the real We Are the Future dance was well performed by the original members wearing in white suits. 

                           

I.C casts greeted the audience once again and apologised for their messy dance routines while fans are not bothered about it. Kang Ta quickly attended to Haha asking if he was okay.
When it came to the finale, fans were started to cry as the song 'The Promise of H.O.T' was considered the tearful song before the group disbanded in 2001. They finished off the last song 'You and I' where Jae Won became so emotional that he couldn't sing. Even Kang Ta choked up with fans helped them to sing the entire song in the venue. Tony was seen shedding tears too, Hee Jun continued singing while Woo Hyuk slowly rapping away. Well, it was a very long hiatus for the men to perform for the fans again. In fact there were many fans waiting outside the venue singing along but couldn't secure a seat inside, one of them was gag woman Park Ji Sun. Before they bid farewell to their fans, Jae Won apologised to fans for taking such a long time to stand on stage again. They thanked everyone from the bottom of their hearts. Woo Hyuk is seriously considering if they should continue doing activities as H.O.T. 

      

As an encore, the members continued singing and dancing hit favourites with the fans.
And then everyone returns back to reality of 2018. Fans were very pleased to attend the concert. Their memories lingered around but they were glad to see the members all looking the same. The members delivered a stunning performance for those watching live and at home.

It has definitely brought back sweet memories as I was part of that era (though I wasn't there in Korea flicking the white balloons, but I knew who they were, I listened to their songs religiously and waited for them to perform once again). Thank you Infinite Challenge casts, PD and production team for bringing back the legend idols. 

Though it might be difficult to see them perform as a group actively since they have individual work career, companies and solo activities, but I earnestly hope to see them again in near future. Fighting!!! 

Radio Romance Epi 7-8

Back to where the episodes ended when Ji Suho asked if Song Geu Rim remembers who he was. She didn't understand much as he covered her eyes with his palm and kissed her. She was taken back and thought out of happiness, he acted weirdly. Their awkward tense conversation broke off when PD Lee Kang buzzed her mobile phone. Suho drove them back but he avoided any conversation when Geu Rim asked why did he kiss her. He was too nervous and said he will give her the answer tomorrow.

The two have a hard time sleeping in wondering how to answer and why did he do that. 

Next morning PD Lee lectures Geu Rim again and reviews her script while seeing her not paying attention much. She seems distracted with what Suho said last night so PD Lee asked if anything happened. She shrugged her shoulders and just when Suho walked into the room.

Still Suho couldn't give an proper answer to Geu Rim but responded he can't stop thinking about her. Suho decided to get a new mobile phone but he has never filled in any forms in his life before. Strangely he got Manager Kim to sign up for a new phone while he started entering Geu Rim's mobile number. 

Geu Rim was invited over for a dinner and to go through the script at Suho's house. Jason smirked that Suho is doing everything for Lady Kamikaze! Hah! Suho started a fight conversation with Geu Rim when she praised PD Lee's achievement and awards he won. One night Geu Rim's mother fainted so Suho and Geu Rim rushed her to the hospital. PD Lee and Suho suggested to have the radio program air in the hospital. It turns out to be a bit of stardom for Suho as patients, staffs and visitors were all engrossed with him asking for selfies and autographs. CEO Nam warns Suho not to do funny things as there are weird rumours circulating around. She wants him to return home only to be shot down by an question- doesn't she feel tired living this way? He feels very exhausted everyday. Writer Ra Ra Hee tries to boycott Geu Rim's script however Suho managed to memorised it in time. PD Lee steps up shouting at them and telling Geu Rim not to be a loser. Suho felt he is losing out to PD Lee in terms of defending Geu Rim in front of others. Jason asked if Suho has ever helped Geu Rim- he said yes in the elevator and even offended her. Then he tripped her at the party to gain her attention. Oh boy.... Suho really has a got a long way to learn... 

      

CEO Nam is annoyed with her husband again as he believes Jin Tae Ri might circulate his photos taken with the model Jung Da Seul. Suho doesn't want to have any ties or links with Tae Ri to create another scandal. Suho tells Manager Kim to handle Tae Ri since he liked her a long time ago. Tae Ri wants to have a drama filmed together with Suho for her own sake but he said he would consider. She was rather annoyed to know Suho wants to carry on the radio program because of Geu Rim. She plans a party inviting everyone including Suho and Geu Rim. Suho finally confessed to Geu Rim that he likes her. Duh-duh! Tae Ri interupted their conversation asking if Suho doesn't pity her at all. He felt she shouldn't associate too much with his mother. Geu Rim asks Jason regarding Suho and finally found out that Woo Ji Woo is his original name. She wonders why Suho treated her weirdly because she doesn't recognise him.

                          

PD Lee informs Suho there is a patient in the hospital- avid fan of Suho, has 6 months to live- he wants Suho to fulfils her wish and make her happy for one last time. Suho pretends to stay in the hospital, working with the staff, sees Geu Rim falling sick and yet PD Lee treats her very well. He can't help but to feel jealous. Suho asks PD Lee if he likes Geu Rim to where he said yes. Oh-oh! Two men up against one radio program writer...mmm... 

Radio Romance Epi 5-6

Continuing from where Ji Suho has stopped Song Geu Rim from sitting in PD Lee Kang's car, the tense glaring between two men started. She was rather annoyed with two men having arguments so she left them to further their conversation at Suho's house. After a series of drinks, two were tipsy and talked gibberish too. The next morning, Suho woke up having headaches and CEO Nam walked in surprised to see him having drinks the night before. He continued his radio program and was rather taken back when a caller's father cursed angrily at him and listeners were even more surprised since Suho didn't expect it to be broadcast live. He told PD Lee to cut off the phone conversation as Geu Rim notified he's on air live! There were mixed comments on people sneering behind Suho's back that he doesn't know understand being a DJ and some supported him. Manager Kim warns PD Lee to stop embarrassing Suho.

Jin Tae Ri continues her plan to threaten CEO Nam with her husband's affair photos. She wants to be back in the limelight so she is trying all means to get to Suho. One day Suho has filming a CF with the model Jung Da Seul- who is his father's girlfriend. Surprisingly Tae Ri turns up insulting her and two women shouting while grabbing each other's hair. Suho just look disgusted and told CEO Nam to stop the nonsense. CEO Nam wants Suho to stop the radio program but he insisted to carry on. Geu Rim and Suho were stuck in heavy traffic at Gangwon-do province so they have to carry out their daily show at 6.00 pm in a school area with mobile broadcast truck. Geu Rim tells Suho there is a little boy Sang Goo who is grumpy and refuses to graduate from school because he is still waiting for his friend to return. 

                                   

When Suho meets little Sang Goo, it reminded him a lot of him when he was young. Their style of talking, grumpiness and behaviour were alike. Sang Goo might not mean what he says and yet he's waiting for his friend's return. The same thing happened to Suho when he was young- his best friend Woo Ji Woo has not returned ever since- in fact died in a car accident. 
Suho managed to have Sang Goo talk about his experience and school kids rendering a sad emotional song in the school. Listeners were amazed with the program and some shed a tear.
Geu Rim pointed out to Suho that he can do the closing of the program with his own words as they don't have a script. He ended the program with a saying 'Just because you're crying, it doesn't mean you are sad, just because you smile- it doesn't mean you are happy.' 
Those words rang clearly on Geu Rim's mind- they were the words she told her first love at the hospital whole she did the blindness project. 

          

Sang Goo asked if Suho kept his school grad cert- he replied no where Geu Rim widened her eyes wondering what happened to it. In fact Suho's grad cert is in the glass case beside Woo Ji Woo's urn in the crematorium. The junior writers got PD Lee to read the board online for Suho's program- someone has been insulting and writing evil remarks on the actor. There were even cards send to the station with letters stating Suho is a murderer. What the...??
I wonder if this was the work of his doctor friend Jason...he does act suspicious...

Geu Rim was pleased that Suho read her script and followed her actions to have the radio program successfully broadcast even when they are not in Seoul. She felt her dream is coming true- making baby steps. She hugged Suho thanking him for making her career take off. He was quite stunned as he asked her if she does remember who he was. She looked blank.
He covered her eyes with his palm and gave her a kiss. The similar scene took place 12 years back when they were in the hospital as she was wearing a blindfold... 

Sung Shi Kyung establishes one-man agency company.

Ballad singer Sung Shi Kyung (39) has started his own one-man agency company.

           

On 22nd February, Jellyfish Entertainment rep has confirmed the male vocalist has finally decided to do his own thing. He is beginning his second chapter of music life that is to establish and formed a new company.

Sung Shi Kyung is trying out various challenges and to communicate closely with the public through a single agency. In addition, he will carefully consider the possibility of diverse activities throughout the entertainment industry and plan to carry out solo activities.

Since he has now established a one-person company, he plans to concentrate on the personality-strong music work as the top vocalist and talented singer-songwriter.

He debuted in 2000 with his first album "Like the First Time". He wrote the hit song such as 'Smile Angel', 'You were touched', 'I came to you', 'I love you', 'Once more goodbye' and 'Goodbye my love'.

Recently, he has been releasing his debut album 'DRAMA' in Japan, and continues to expand his activities in overseas activities.

Along With Gods movie review

I finally had the opportunity to watch and do some review on the movie "Along With Gods - 신과 함께" starring Cha Tae Hyun, Ha Jung Woo, Joo Ji Hoon, Kim Hyang Gi, Kim Dong Wook, Lee Jun Hyuk, Do Kyung Soo and Lee Jung Jae. 

                         

The story opens with a brave and hardworking fireman Kim Ja Hong (played by Cha Tae Hyun) died while saving a little girl from a burning building. He didn't realise he was dead until he was summoned by grim reaper Kang Rim (played by Ha Jung Woo), Haewon Mak (played by Jo Ji Hoon) and Deok Choon (played by Kim Hyang Gi). The three guardians have advised Ja Hong that he's a paragon and he would benefit from escaping the 7 Hells of trials in order to be reincarnated. Ja Hong was shocked and can't bear to leave behind his old ailing mother.

               

Indeed it was a series of roller coaster events where the three guardians brought him to meet God Of Murder Hell, Goddess of Indolence Hell, God of Violence Hell, King Taesan, Goddess of Betrayal Hell and Yeomra, King of Underworld. They tried their best to defend Ja Hong against 2 unruly prosecutors who wanted to punish him. Each time a trial goes, Ja Hong finds himself brimming in tears after looking at the mirror of his past- what he has done as a fireman, his daily lifestyle and surviving through poverty. However a series of misfortune starts happening as Haewon Mak pointed out there must be a family member who is dead but the spirit is still vengeful. Ja Hong thought was his mother but Kang Rim discovered the Angel of Death is his younger brother, Su Hong (played by Kim Dong Wook) who died in an unfortunate accident in the military camp. Su Hong started to revenge on Private Dong Yeon (Do Kyung Soo) and First Lt. Park (Lee Jun Hyuk) for accidentally shooting him while on duty, covering his death, burying him alive in the ground and faking the news that he deserted his duties. 

                       

It was difficult to defend Ja Hong in the underworld trials when Su Hong's evil spirit is filled with vengeance causing disruption even up to Yeomra's world. Kang Rim fought few battles with Su Hong and told him to stop otherwise his brother's spirit will not reincarnate. Su Hong despised Ja Hong for leaving the family when he was young and there was mysterious past about them.
They were so poor that Ja Hong had the intentions of killing his mother and committing suicide to end all suffering. Su Hong forgave Dong Yeon over the accidental death as the poor lad was literally a walking zombie of guilt and tried to hang himself. But Su Hong got mad after seeing First Lt. Park bullied their mute mother and pushed her away. His mother was desperate to see where Su Hong's body was buried but Lt. Park denied all. Kang Rim and Haewon Mak have to intervene with the Angel of Death rage and vengeance. Deok Choon pleaded with Yeomra to forgive what Ja Hong has done when he was young. The two guardians managed to do some magic whereby Su Hong was dressed in a Prosecutor robe and sat in front of his ailing mother.
His mother woke up and was thrilled to see her youngest son alive (but actual fact he's dead), he cried saying he has to go somewhere far to work. Ja Hong missed his mother so much and cried too. 

Yeomra forgave what Ja Hong has done and concluded that his spirit will be reincarnated.
He will not be punished for anything. The three guardians were pleased with the results. Deok Choon bade farewell to Ja Hong as he finds his spirit slowly disappears into gold dust and left the underworld. Kang Rim dressed as a delivery man sends a parcel containing the latest rice cooker for Ja Hong's mother with a letter from her elder son. Kang Rim, Haewon Mak and Deok Choon were left to defend Su Hong in afterlife.... this time a bigger battle awaits them.

As my thoughts- Cha Tae Hyun looks cute in his yellow fireman suit throughout the movie, the two guardians are dressed like in Matrix...ha ha! The stunning cameo appearances from many famous actors and actresses do amaze me. In fact the last scene has Kim Min Jong and Ma Dong Suk appearing cracks me up as one is a Grim Reaper and another is House of Gods. Quite pleasing to see Jo Ji Hoon in a very sarcastic and comical character. 

Wanna One's comeback on 19th March.

Group Wanna One is set to come back on 19th March 2018.

              

"The group is releasing their new mini-album," said the YMC Entertainment managing director on 20th Feb.

It is a comeback after four months since the album '1-1 = 0' (NOTHING WITHOUT YOU) was released last November.

Recently, Wanna One has announced their comeback was imminent with the release of upcoming album entitled "Golden Age Begins", a teaser with mystical atmosphere.

Wanna One was formed last year through MNet 'Produce 101' season 2. From there, the members have rocked the music industry with their debut. With its debut album and repackage album together, they have sold more than 1.3 million copies and became one of the most popular project boy band in history.


In addition to the music charts and music broadcasts, Wanna One has been named as a Rookie Monster by winning many music awards such as the Mnet Asian Music Awards, Melon Music Awards, and Golden Disc Awards.

Teen actor Lee Hyun Woo quietly enlists.

Actor Lee Hyun Woo (25) has quietly enlisted.

                                        

The actor will enter the recruitment training camp in Paju City, Gyeonggi Province on the afternoon of 19th February 2018. According to Lee wished to start military life quietly, the entrance will be held without a press conference.

Lee told the news of his enrolment at the fan meeting on 3rd February. He said, "I will try to show you that I can grow up into a more matured person. Please watch over me."

Lee Hyun Woo began early acting in 2005 with the film 'Baribari Zzang'. Since then, he has appeared in dramas such as 'The Legend- Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi' (2007), 'King Sejong' (2008) and 'Queen Seondeok' (2009). 

Since then, he has been recognised for acting in dramas. He acted alongside Yoo Seung Ho in 'God of Study' (2010), films- 'Technicians' (2014) with Kim Woo Bin and Go Chang Suk and 'Yeonpyeong Sea Battle' (2015). His most recent drama was Korean version of 'The Liar and His Lover ' (2017) together with Red Velvet's Joy.

H.O.T reunites in Infinite Challenge- Part 1

MC Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, Yang Se Hyung were invited to an old run down stage down with a surprise that they have successfully contacted all the members of H.O.T group. It was a difficult process to get all the members together. It has been 17 years they were on hiatus and their very last concert was in 2001. PD informs the cast that H.O.T members were met up individually where they explained there were various opinions and thoughts of reunion but never seem to work. Members were told not to contact each other- just to think if they want to reunite and to think of their fans. 

Infinite Challenge- To To Ga 3 (Saturday Night Singer Season 3) kicks off with Kang Ta arrived first as he looked nervous. Now that he's a director with SM Entertainment, it isn't easy for him to come up to such event. Next up was Tony Ahn who felt overwhelmed seeing the emcees and Kang Ta welcoming him. They were preparing for the worst if others are not turning up, Jae Suk suggested he, Haha and Se Hyung will join them be part of H.O.T. Muahahah! 
All looked nervous when leader Moon Hee Jun was third to show up. Hee Jun was confused who were his members as the hosts were dressed up in the colourful uniforms that they used to wear while performing 'Candy'. Youngest member Lee Jae Won peeked into the dark room and commented the place is so shabby. Hah! He's the tallest, thinnest and quietest. At last final member Jang Woo Hyuk turned up whereby all clapped happily that everyone has agreed to reunite again!

Tony shed some tears as he never expected all would turn up. It has been many unsuccessful meet up for all and this time everyone is here. MBC has really brought them together. Members were further shown old music videos and their performances when they were so young- they were at their peak of career. Everyone cracked up at their bad hair-do and dressing.
In fact the shabby studio is where H.O.T debuted on stage and began their career as first generation idol group. Most important mission is the members have to sing and dance by scoring 95 or above in the karaoke. Hee Jun suggested We Are The Future for the 1st song and they started struggling after 1st verse. The 'legend' idols have forgotten most of their choreography and they were panting for breath. Woo Hyuk still maintained his moves well.
First song scored 94 missed out by 1 point. So they are heading to Warrior of Descendants- their title song which made them even worst off at 80 points. LOL! Candy was their 3rd song where hosts were all excited and giddy over the happy tune. Still it wasn't good enough to score well...members were already exhausted and lying on the floor. It was already 11.45 pm and yet they cannot score 95 points. Lastly Kang Ta suggested his own song 'Hope' where he wrote it and became a hit song for the group. Surprisingly it scored 95 points! 

Following days the members were practising their choreo but their bodies are not giving in so well. Tony injured his knees as their age are creeping up. Most of them would be 40 years of age by now. Even youngest Jae Won is having problems in catching breath. News started spreading like a wild fire online with fans applying non stop for a seat to the Ilsan MBC studio for 800 seats. Soon the production cast changed the venue to Olympic park which could accommodate 2400 seats for their loyal fans. There were mixed feelings and comments from the public regarding their come back and concert. The entire Infinite Challenge cast met up again with H.O.T members in a studio where they were told to randomly call up 5 lucky fans informing them they won two tickets to the concert. 

                         

Kang Ta made the first call to a female fan who was happy that she won a ticket but she couldn't recognise his voice via the phone. Woo Hyuk rang up a fan who happened to immediately recognise his voice but as Kang Ta's fan; she said bluntly Kang Ta doesn't sound like him! Ha ha! Hee Jun's lucky fan squealed happily that she won the seats and he is her fan during young days. Came to Tony's turn, the female fan answered quietly and didn't sound happy at all. The awkward feeling broke into laughter's when she thought Hee Jun was the caller! She was Woo Hyuk's fan and said she saw all their SNS postings. When the call was passed onto Park Myung Soo, it sounded so flat and dejected. Jun Ha reckoned the fan doesn't want to even talk to Myung Soo at all where she sounded so call and snorted behind.
Last up is Jae Won who sounded like a staff calling a fan regarding the seats. His dorky and clumsiness resulted more confusion and laughter since she guessed others names except for him!
                

When asked how do they feel about speaking personally to their fans- they started tearing up in emotions when they heard the first fan cried saying it's been a long time...such a long time she has waited for this moment for them to come back together.

Infinite Challenge, H.O.T peaks audience ratings at 15%.

Infinite Challenge- Saturday Night 3 has successfully brought back the first generation idol group H.O.T members together. During the broadcast, the ratings peaked at 15.8% and it was one of the highest audience ratings among all entertainment programs aired at that time.

             

The 557th episode of MBC Infinite Challenge featuring H.O.T consists of two episodes.
Members of H.O.T were busy preparing for the Infinite Challenge Saturday Night 3 and they were given the chance to speak to their fans via phone call by inviting them to the concert.
Fans were eager and happy to know the members are making the effort to come back.

According to Nielsen Korea on the 18th Feb,  'Infinite Challenge 3', which was aired on the previous day, recorded 8.7% in the metropolitan area and 14.3% in the second quarter, . Especially the audience were (23: 26 ~ 23: 27) when H.O.T was singing 'Light' during the Karaoke Mission, recorded the highest audience rating of 15.8% . The debate on the 'Infinite Challenge which started in 2014, was concluded after three trials till 2018. The producers of 'Infinite Challenge' could not give up the reunion of HOT for the completion of 'Season 3', and if they were willing to meet each member with 1: 1 and think about their fans again. H.O.T debuted in 1996, the PD has asked them to come out to the MBC public hall where they had the stage.

The members thought of the same idea about the reunion, which may be the last chance to keep their promise for their loyal fans, but they have been frankly saying that they have not been able to do so easily after such a long hiatus. Finally Kang Ta, Tony Ahn, Moon Hee Jun, Jang Woo Hyuk and Lee Jae Won came together after 17 years!  Their last concert was on February 27, 2001. H.O.T. The members could not speak as if they could not believe that they have gathered together. IC cast and the production team couldn't close their mouths in an emotional scene. Yoo Jae Suk, Haha and Yang Se Hyung - with H.O.T members watched the images of the group's past activities together which brought back lots of memories. Having watched five years of activities as the first debut stage, H.O.T. members said, "We can not believe we were there. 

IKON's I Have Loved becomes top hit song for 18th day.

The group IKON's "I Have Loved" has reached the top of the music charts for the 18th day and remained the best hit of the Boy Group since the last three years.

           

The title song '사랑을 했다' swept first place on the main music site daily chart (12th) including Melon, MNet, Genie, Soribada, OLE, Naver, It is the first record after Big Bang's Loser which was released in May 2015 with the first record on the 18th day based on MELON site which is the largest music source site in South Korea.

 "I Have Loved" is the longest duration period for a boy band's music since the last three years.

The song 'I Have Loved', which has been positioned as the iconic hit song, which is rather addictive with melodies and warm emotions.


The overseas reactions is unexpected as well. Billboard, Buzzfeed and others were very popular for IKON's growth and musicality. Time magazine cited IKON as one of the six most popular K-pop groups. In addition, 17 countries including the United States, Japan, China and iTunes have also recorded the top of the charts and sound recording sites.

The missed out contestants for ninth place were Kim Timoteo (Hotshot) and Ji Won (Good Day). It came to quite a surprise as Timoteo was a favourite in episodes 4-7 however his ranking slowly slide down with Jun and Eui Jin taking over the first two positions. Feeldog hasn't changed his position much on 4th position- he's a great leader and nice personality.

Sonamoo's Eui Jin has been consistent on Episode 8-13 on first spot taking over from Yang Ji Won. 

The UNIT didn't score as many ratings as Produce 101 Season 1 and 2 - probably people have gotten stale over the same voting process. Personally I have skipped most of the Unit G performances as there was just something lacking in girls performances. Unit B has more to boost up the audience and interesting skills. But I am glad that Feeldog, Eui Jin are in the finalists. Well done to all the winners! Oh btw, the Units are to actively perform for the next 10 months or so... 

Wanna One endorses for Shinhan Bank.

Wanna One project boy band has been selected as the new endorsement model for Shinhan Bank.

The 11-member boy band was formed last year through the program 'Produce 101' of MNet Broadcasting Company. They have proven to be very popular with their debut album. The group has appeared in Golden Disk Awards and won the New Artist Award at the awards ceremony.

Shinhan Bank rep has explained that the differentiation beyond Shinhan Bank's success model was similar to Shinhan Bank's passion, challenge spirit and innovative performance record of the background of the advertisement model selection.


Wanna One will be modelling for the mobile super app 'Shinhan SOL' which will be released this month. On the other hand, Shinhan Bank will hold a pre-scheduled event from 12th onwards to celebrate the opening of Shinhan Sol. Event applications for various prizes will be available on the Shinhan Bank website or mobile apps.

Boy Group February Brand reputation Big data analysis results are out with 1st spot taken by BTS, second place Wanna One and 3rd place is IKON. 

The Korean company's reputation research institute measured 123.32 million 2307 Big Group brand Big Data from January 9 to February 10 through Consumer Behaviour Analysis, which is a measure of participation index, media index, communication index, community index respectively.
               

The brand index is an indicator of brand big data analysis that finds consumers' online habits have a big influence on brand consumption. The Boy Group brand reputation index measures positive along with negative ratings, media interest, consumer interest and traffics for the boy groups.

In February itself, the rankings go from 1st to 30th.

Misty- Kim Nam Joo a prime suspect.

In the recent jTBC drama Misty- Go Hye Ran (played by Kim Nam Joo) suddenly became a prime suspect for the death of pro-golfer Kevin Lee (played by Go Joon). The audience ratings was 5.3% (Nielsen Korea, metropolitan area paid furniture standard), 1.3% more than previous episode.

                     

The accident of Kevin Lee was suspected to be a murder somehow provoked some curiosity and raised few eyebrows. The police summoned announcer Go Hye Ran to assist in the investigation. At this stage, Hye Ran panics when she cried out  looking at her estranged husband Lawyer Kang Tae Wook (played by Ji Jin Hee) and said it's not her, she didn't kill Kevin Lee.

Thanks to Tae Wook, Hye Ran had dinner with a senior presidential publicist in Cheong Wa Dae (The Blue House). She acted as if she did not know that he was a presidential candidate for public relations and appealing to her principles and convictions as a journalist without a glare. She doesn't hesitate to aim climbing up the stairs for success. However her dream bubble starts to crack when Kevin Lee provoked her by passing her brooch to Tae Wook at a drinking session. 

Hye Ran ran to the public phone booth and rang Kevin Lee threatening to kill him if he continues harassing her and her family. Kevin started repaying back Hye Ran's warnings in the same way she did to announcer Han Ji Won (played by Jin Ki Joo) The intimate photos of him kissing Hye Ran was intentionally snapped and send to her. If the photos were to be revealed to the public, being a press secretary of Cheong Wa Dae, as well as the Nine News will be over for Hye Ran. She went to meet Kevin Lee and the two people who talked in her car. 
Could Hye Ran be the real killer of Kevin Lee? (I doubt so...) She is a smart woman and wouldn't make a hasty move to affect her future career. 

In addition, veteran singer Lee Seung Chul has contributed his voice to the Misty drama OST.

Radio Romance Epi 3-4 recap

Radio Romance picks up at where Senior Writer Ra Ra Hee started nagging and picking at Song Geu Rim saying she is only good at sucking up to celebrities, bringing them into the program but has no skills to be a main writer. The insults went overboard where other staffs were listening with Ji Soo Hoo watching close by. He voiced out stating he will do it...he will do the radio program together while pulling Geu Rim away. She thinks Soo Hoo is just playing around whenever he is bored but this is her entire dream and career. He finally agreed to host the radio show with terms and conditions.

                      

The contract is whereby Soo Hoo picks his guests, determines the script and no live broadcast. Geu Rim has to also obey to whatever he says and he can quit at anytime. She was utterly shocked with the so-called slave condition contract but PD Lee Kang tells her to go ahead. At home, Jason felt Soo Hoo is doing things out of the ordinary because of Geu Rim. His step mother wasn't pleased to hear that he's hosting a radio show. Meanwhile Tae Ri, a snobby actress is threatening the CEO of JH Ent. to click her together with Soo Hoo, else she will dish out the actor-husband's affairs to reporters. 

   

The broadcasting station directors were very pleased to see a top star signing the contract to host the radio show. Female staff were in awe to see Soo Hoo in real person. Geu Rim promised him to work harder on the opening show script. PD Lee suggested two teams battle with Writer Ra fuming behind. The PD went scouting around for other assistants for the show. 
When he indirectly sussed out Soo Hoo for being unprofessional, immediately he came to see them at a cafe. Soo Hoo goes green eyed when he sees PD Lee hanging out with Geu Rim very often. The new team goes for a 1 Night 2 Days excursion with Jason and Soo Hoo surprised to know it's super nature trip. From car to ferry to bus...to a deserted island! Hah!

When Geu Rim accidentally left her notebook on the ferry, she rushed back to the port with Soo Hoo tagging along. They took the wrong bus and ended up in another remote area where an elderly man mistaken Soo Hoo for his long lost son. The night seem long and chilly too. Geu Rim fell asleep after exhaustion from work, Soo Hoo just stared at her for a long time. Suddenly it reminded him of the past- he and a friend were waiting at the bus stop with Geu Rim. One day his friend was hit by a truck, he tried calling Manager Kim many times. Those bad memories started flocking back resulting Soo Hoo leaving the trip without informing others. He is haunted by some trauma and that's why he refused to carry a mobile phone.

Geu Rim felt Soo Hoo's personality has changed dramatically overnight. He has turned icy cold again and even refused to read Geu Rim's prepared script on the radio show. The managers were impressed with Soo Hoo's deejay skills while praising Geu Rim and PD Lee.
Both looked annoyed and felt they needed a drink to de-stress. When Geu Rim was about to sit in PD Lee's car, Soo Hoo stopped her from getting on.

What the.... ?? First he put out all the conditions, then he got closer with her at the trip, then he disappears, then he shows up, ignores her revised radio scripts and now he stops her from ...
I can't read Soo Hoo's mind...either he's too boggled up with the trauma which hinders him from opening up to others OR his step mother has ulterior motives controlling his actions. 

2PM to commemorate Winter Olympic Games.

Hallyu group 2PM including member Tacyeon who is currently serving military, will be on stage with 'six full members' at the upcoming Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games 2018.

According to the official website of JYP and the '2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics' on the 6th Feb, 2PM will attend the 'Headliner Show' at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province on the 19th February 2018.


Tacyeon, who joined the military in September 2017 was called to the country as a supporting agent for the army performance during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games.
JYP said, "The PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games headliner show is also scheduled to solo. However, 2PM members who have heard of this news have expressed to participate together with Tacyeon. 


2PM members showed their steadfast teamwork and friendship with Tacyeon by adjusting their individual schedules without paying a separate performance fee. Members JUNK, Nickkhun, Junho, Woo Young and Chan Sung have expressed that they are thankful to participate in the country's big event with Tacyeon. Recently all members have re-signed their contract with JYP Entertainment. In particular, 2PM has been in charge of "JYP Foreign Cooperation Director" as it is the best in its agency;  it has been said that it will play a part in promoting JYP outside.

On the other hand, 2PM has continued to perform songs, concerts, performances, and overseas activities after a full-length concert last June.

Master in the House- Episode 6 Recap

First to arrive at the snowy area at Yang Se Hyung and he said bye to his manager for he is staying overnight at the mysterious master’s house. Next up was Seung Gi followed by Sung Jae and Sang Yun. The three were dressed in white knee length parka but Se Hyung is the odd one out in black leather jacket and jeans! They pointed out his fashion is out as they are at the mountains with thick snow so it’s advisable to wear scarf, boots and snow proof clothing. Seung Gi brought couple PJs for the Master while the ‘so-called lucky member’ to sleep with the Master has to massage his/her feet and also sing lullaby. While looking at the daily schedule of the Master- Sung Jae rejoices because there is no hard work or exercise! 

                    

They ring up someone to get some hints on their new Master. Immediately Seung Gi recognized the familiar voice- Big Bang’s Taeyang (the new groom)! Taeyang has personally not met the Master but wished he could. He has always looked up to him as Mentor. Se Hyung dishes the hints were not useful might as well Tae Yang comes over to join them meeting the Master. LOL! Tae Yang admits his time is up for enlistment very soon but Seung Gi encourages him to hang on or to seek help from him. As soon as Seung Gi starts his military talk- Se Hyung is annoyed and cut him off. The Master has a the nickname ‘Nations’ XXX’ while the rest of their brains started running wild thinking it’s near to Winter Olympics- it might be ice skater Kim Yuna or actress Moon Geun Yeung (Nation’s Little Sister).

As they wandered around the birch forest admiring the snow, they were told their Master is slowly approaching them from behind. They were getting excited and shocking veteran actor/host Choi Bool Am tapped Seung Gi and greeted him. The four immediately bowed and greeted Choi. Actor Choi has a nickname of ‘Nation’s Father’ after starring in family dramas in early 1980-1990s for many years. He is currently hosting Korean Table Food series where he goes around the entire nation searching for food.  He gets them to admire the beautiful birch forest with snow stating it’s romance. The four butlers were told to say their wish to the birch tree which somehow made them look silly. Sung Jae and Se Hyung were busy making their wishes loudly, Sang Yun remained quiet while Seung Gi whispers that from far they do look ‘insane’ (hugging and talking to a tree!)

   

Now it’s time for poetry… Actor Choi is famous for his artistic and poetry words. They were given a homework earlier to memorize and recite a poem. Sung Jae immediately becomes Actor Choi’s favorite pupil by reciting Na Tae Joo’s How Do I Live. Sang Yun tried his luck by reciting the poem ‘Red Devil’ which was famous in the 2002 World Cup held in South Korea/Japan.  Se Hyung recited Choi’s own poem and even created his own lines but somehow didn’t impress the veteran with some weird background music!

Seung Gi was funny as he just blurted out bluntly that he will recite using Choi’s initial names. They cracked up at the last part when Seung Gi saying Am--- Am Missing You…. (Singing away). Choi tells them to join him for lunch with his fellow friends at the nearby house in the snowy mountains. The four were excited since they were hungry. Se Hyung drove the van heading towards the friends’ house. They only heard the friends’ nick names were Jang Bi, Yu Bi and Guan Yu (WHA…what?!) They are the names of the familiar names of Generals in the series of Three Kingdom era. Seung Gi joked that Choi might be Zhuge Liang (the skilled war strategist) which he shook his head no-no!

After waiting for a while with snow falling, 3 men started walking towards the house with the background music from drama Goblin OST….hahah! What does it remind us- Goblin Kim Shin and Grim Reaper….slowly strutting towards them with food and wine.  Choi was thrilled to see his friends, started shaking hands with warm and love. The butlers just stood there admiring their friendship of the four elders. Choi nearly forgotten to introduce them to where they laughed and greeted the 3 elder s. Everyone were treated with a warm lovely lunch- brackens, bell roots, rice, wild boar seasoned meat and wine.  Slowly the four butlers felt Choi turned his back while eating happily with his friends. It seems there is a big wall dividing two tables. Se Hyung joked that the Master is ignoring them and having fun catching up with his friends. The YB (Young Boys) team just listened to every conversation from the OB (Old Boys) Team.  

Lunch ended quickly for the YB team so they crept out from the house feeling very awkward sitting inside. The snow is the only solace for the four butlers. They decided to play a game to decide the ‘lucky one’ to sleep with the Master wearing couple PJ, massage feet and singing lullaby to Choi. Se Hyung suggested a silly game where they dunk their face into the snow and the first to give up is the loser. While the three fools dipped their faces into the snow for 50 over seconds…only Sang Yun looked up and smiled at them. He can’t help but felt guilty after hearing them screaming away in the snow. Their faces were so frozen, noses were red and yet they endured the pain. Sung Jae asked if they are still alive since everyone remained quiet, Seung Gi started pushing Se Hyung at the side by throwing snow. At last Se Hyung screamed and gave up. Sang Yun just sat quietly observing their pain. Seung Gi felt his jaw was frozen while Sung Jae thinks his cheekbones were hardened in the snow! They concluded that Se Hyung should sleep with Choi that night. Sang Yun felt bad and immediately asked for another game…they refused. He admitted that he didn’t play the game properly leaving them dumbfounded. Se Hyung was about to curse but Sang Yun pointed out earlier they pranked on him many times so he doesn’t want to fall behind those traps. Se Hyung wondered if Seung Gi cheated too causing him to yell that his entire make up and trace is inside the snow hole. Haha! So they suggested Sang Yun to dunk his face in the snow for at least 52 seconds.

As usual Sang Yun is a tough cookie so he endured the cold but he couldn’t speak much because the snow is so cold that froze his entire face. Snow pack (face mask) for all the four butlers- heh!

Seung Gi reckoned Sang Yun and Se Hyung should just re-match because they were last two losers. Sung Jae and Seung Gi went over 55 seconds through the game. Sang Yun felt it wasn’t fun to where Sang Yun agreed. He admits he cheats but he immediately admits his fault so all should play again to find the real winner! OMG!
