Not long ago around in May 2014, Korean actor Jeong Woo Sung was appointed at the UNICEF Hononary Ambassador. The actor then visited Nepal as one of the places under UNICEF. Let's check out the official photographer's list of photos of the actor himself and the children in the village.
Jeong was actively involved with the activities whereby he was seen smiling, interacting and talking to the children. It was indeed a eye opening experience for the actor himself to be taking selfies at the refugee camp children. The fact comes is Jeong is no stranger at the camp as he has already build his own fame since he's a famous movie actor.
As what Jeong mentioned in his interview:
"I think the word that the refugees in the world covering all current problems. It is as if we are pretending to ignore the refugees but we do not know these problems have been created by ourselves." In the eastern area of Nepal lies the place called Damak and the camps of Bhutanese refugees lived there. The colour of the skin, nationality, gender and despite age gaps and pain, can't the people live and enjoy together in this world? What else is more important than this?
Nepal's local paper- The Himalayan has discussed Jeong's experiences where he shared his views in the media. The actor himself seems pleased and warm to heart. Jeong's visit to the refugee camp has brought him memories as he wraps up the interview.
Look forward to more of the Korean celebrities work to help the needy and poor.
“난민은 이 세상이 당면한 모든 문제를 포괄하는 단어라고 생각합니다. 난민을 외면하는 것은 우리가 스스로 만들어 낸 이 문제들을 모르는 체하는 것과 같습니다"
