Hallyu star, Lee Min Ho (29) who starred in the Korean-Chinese joint venture film Bounty Hunters (directed by PD Shin Tae Ra) has its opening premiere with record of 50 million Yuan equivalent to KRW 9 million. What a blast!
According to Lee's agency Haus Entertainment, the Bounty Hunters production has been screened over 5 million times across China on its opening day in the theater and recorded its share of 26.65%.
The current blockbuster Bounty Hunters has pushed to 2nd spot after the Hollywood film Ninja Turtles. The heavily invested movie produced at KRW $30 billion was shot in China, Hong Kong, Korea and other Asian cities such as Malaysia and Thailand as its backdrop.
Lee Min Ho's lead role as 'Lee San' alongside with China's Wallace Chung and Tiffany Tang.
PD Shin was responsible for the filming while he directed the 2009's film 7th Grade Civil Servant.
Lee is due to come back on small screen for drama land fans with actress Jeon Ji Hyun for the upcoming SBS drama Legend of the Blue Sea. The drama will be written by Park Ji Eun who has written Producers and My Love from the Star.
