21st Busan Film Festival from 6th-15th October 2016.

The annual 21st Busan Film Festival Awards (BIFF) will be held from 6th to 15th October this year. This year will feature a special program highlighting Colombian films. BIFF 2016 main poster features the Korean pinewood tree as a mark of the survival in the harsh and loneliness environment. 

The awards for BIFF 2016 are New Currents Award, Sonje Award, BIFF Mecenat Award, Best Actor and Actress, KNN Award, Citizen Critics’ Award, Daemyung Culture Wave Award, Vision Director Award and many more.

Jury members include directors Zhang Lu, Mahmood Kalari, producer Guneet Monga, Bero Beyer and head juror Souleymane Cisse. As for the actor and actress award of the year, the jurors are veteran actors Kim Eui Sung and actress Cho Min Su. 

The 21st Busan International film festival will take place in Centum City and Haeundae area. The screening venues are Haeundae Centum City : Busan Cinema Center, CGV Centum City, LOTTE CINEMA Centum City, Sohyang Theater Centum City, Haeundae Woo-dong : MEGABOX Haeundae. 

This year's opening move will be Korean movie A Quiet Dream directed by Chinese director Zhang Lu. The closing movie will be Iraq's movie The Dark Wind. Among Korean movies lined up are Coffee Mate, Come Together, Derailed, Inside Men, The Age of Shadows, The Handmaiden, The Last Princess, The Map Against the World, The Priests and The Wailing.
