Originally scheduled for 50 episodes and now it would be 54 episodes. The reason the drama has been extended is because of the story line and many decisions were made.
All About Mom is a family drama about a housewife Im San Ok (played by Goo Do Shim)
Surface wise they are a happy family even though they are not rich but there are many problems arising. Jin Ae who has always been blamed for her fault when Hyeong Gyu was splashed with hot water on his legs. San Ok always deter Jin Ae and Hyeong Gyu was the apple in the eye since he is a lawyer. Hyeong Soon the youngest is playful and couldn't get a proper job.
Jin Ae and San Ok's relationship was always estranged until she meets a lady boss Yeong Soon (played by Kim Mi Suk) whom she regards highly. A sudden twist came when Jin Ae falls for an architect Kang Hoon Jae (played by Lee Sang Woo) who happens to be Yeong Soon's son!
On 3rd Jan, the episode 42 showed the last moments when San Ok discovered she has terminal lung cancer with 6 months to live, the viewers rating shot up to 33.3% (one of the highest in history) As this 4 episodes extension will definitely break a new record with more scenes or heart break.
All About Mom will be followed by new drama Five Children starring Ahn Jae Wook, Soo Yoo Jin, Im Soo Hyang. Five Children features a single father and single mother having conflicts with family members while encountering second chance in relationship.
