MBC drama W:Two Worlds has renewed its highest ratings and strongly solidified its position as a leader. On 4th August, the audience measurement company Nielsen Korea has shown that W episode ratings have rose 5 times over the same period of time to a 13.5% mark. This is one of the highest ratings bringing 0.6% higher than previously recorded at 12.4%.
W has stirred up the viewers' once again in its hype and interesting story line of a main character of a webtoon (manhwa) that comes to live and meets its creator.
Kang Chul (played by Lee Jong Suk) crosses the border into a new world. He leaves his comic world to arrive into the real human world where he meets his own creator and cartoonist, Oh Sung Mo (played by Kim Eui Sung).
And to his shock, he realized he is just a cartoon character created over the years that has enjoyed popularity among readers. And he goes berserk seeing Yeon Ju is the daughter to his creator!
Before that Kang Chul goes to meet Oh Yeon Ju (played by Han Hyo Joo) for the last time at the hospital and gave her a farewell kiss, tells her she's a nice person. He left without waiting for her at the hospital. She panics for his safety again after hearing he's gone to see her father demanding the real truth why he killed his entire family and attempting to destroy him as well. Oh hated the fact that Chul dragged his daughter into the web world but it wasn't his fault. The two confronted each other with hatred.
Chul tells Oh that here he's trying to kill him off while his daughter desperately saves him.
As Oh angers Chul again by provoking him there is only one way to end the comic. Oh collapsed onto the floor after Chul shot him.
Does that mean Kang Chul will turn into a killer in the real world or web toon? This is arousing curiosity among viewers and nail biting suspense.
Meanwhile KBS's Uncontrollably Fondly struggling to meets its ratings at 8.2% while SBS's Wanted is recorded at low 5.2%.
All I can say UCFondly didn't get the casting so right and lost its story line at the start. Woo Bin is great but the female characters are not standing out. W has taken off strongly and its casting is perfect to capture the audience. I am totally in for W. Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo has scored a big tick from my end. xOxOx...
