Blonde to brown to black hair for Korean celebs.

The bleaching of black/brown hair to blonde and gold colour highlights is a massive transformation for actors/actresses and singers in the entertainment industry. It might be nice on some people but behind that is a grief...as most of us Asians are born with black/brown hair colour. In order to turn blonde or lighten the hair colour, one needs to bleach the hair for several times. 

We have seen dramatic colour hair transformation mostly among the K-idol group members. We have seen idols such as TVXQ, Super Junior, SISTAR, Girls Generation, SHInee, BEA2ST, EXO, BTS, KARA, BTOB with various colour hairstyles over the years. Some just look alarming and some suit with the pale colour of their face. 

Recently EXID Hani has came up with the new concept for their new album Full Moon with a silverish grey colour hair with purple streaks at the end. It does leave a big impact and impression for fans and public who'd take note while watching their idols on stage. Actress Kim Hye Soo has also dyed her hair to yellow blonde for her new movie. Even veteran actors such as Jo Min Ki and Jo Sung Ha, Song Chang Ui have undergone bleaching of their hair for drama roles. 

Even your favourite picks for Produce 101: S2 has shown some of the trainees with seriously blonde colour hair. Kim Samuel was in greyish silver blonde with purple highlights and our MMO trainee Kang Daniel gained attention with his pink-blonde hair colour. It is no surprise when we see them go blonde but bleaching process seriously damage the hair roots and scalp. So for those who intend or have thought of bleaching your hair to blonde- you might want to think twice as this is not an easy process- you'd need a lot of treatment for the scalp and roots. 

I must say these are my favourite picks for those K-celebs who look fairly nice in blonde or very light brown hair colour.

Well, do not get me wrong- I still like them in the dark brown coloured hair as it looks rather natural. But celebrities tend to change their hair colour regularly to suit to their new concept of album, movie or drama characters. 

Besides I have personally coloured my hair red, hazelnut brown, chestnut brown and blond highlights before... well I haven't done the bleaching as I didn't want to turn into some Dr. Frost or Elsa...somehow it doesn't suit my face. But let's just think- we only live young for once- YOLO! If you want to do something crazy or wild- just do it when you are still young or if your work place permits you to do so.
