Wanna One Go S2 : Zero Base Epi 1

I am going to start recapping what I've watched on the new Season 2 of Wanna One Go: Zero Base. It's almost an hour long for the entire episode so don't mind me if I do go side track a bit.
The first episode opens with the members of Wanna One are happily touring around after their debut in August. They went for their first overseas trip to US for the KCON at Los Angeles. It was Jae Hwan's first plane trip and he is super excited. He starts his personal video recording with Woo Jin's help. He fumbles at the plane not knowing how to handle the seat belt while Ji Sung tells him to start losing weight. Behind back stage, Dae Hwi and Min Hyun caught up with GOT7's Jackson. Jackson is goofy as usual saying it's a good thing Dae Hwi dropped out from JYP as now he's doing so well in Wanna One. 

           

The group was happy with the foreign enthusiasm on the project boy band. They were given mission in three teams- snap the best photo shot that will be featured in their new album. It has to go according to the concept of Nothing to Lose. (something like that...) They were given tripods and cameras to take their best shot. 1st team led by Min Hyun selected Sung Woon, Ji Hoon and Jin Young. 2nd team head by Seong Woo picked Woo Jin, Ji Sung and Jae Hwan. 3rd team is formed with Daniel, Dae Hwi and Lai Kuan Lin since they could converse in English. They struggled to find a spot to snap their best photos. In fact the best photo was Min Hyun's team. It did depict the concept of emptiness and sense of longing for someone. Seong Woo's team was a bit funny because Woo Jin had to run up & down the platform while his mat-hyungs were enjoying fan session with foreign fans. American team just casually snap their photo with people walking at the background with the 'look of they lost their country'.
Sung Woon was lost at words when Daniel pointed out that the visual proportions are out in the snap shot where all laughed. Of course the little giant is short compared to the physical king. 

Their fan meetings continued to Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan- which is Kuan Lin's home town. Jae Hwan starts his personal video camera by stating he will compose a new song for the Wannables fans. Without the fans, they won't be formed as a group. He goes around the rooms asking for opinions and advice. Two messy room mates Jae Hwan and Daniel started their own video recording  with Jae Hwan portraying a busy businessman coming out from shower and having a drink. Daniel reminded Jae Hwan that the camera is still recording since he removed his bath robe! Ooops! They quickly got Dae Hwi in to churn some ideas since he is a good composer. Kuan Lin was putting on his aegyo and Ji Hoon just continued eating his grapes on the table. Ji Sung added more ideas with Min Hyun good in composing lyrics since he was in Nu'est. 

         

Wanna One continued back their journey to Seoul to prepare for their new album launch. They were busy waiting at the dressing room for photo jacket. Woo Jin, Jin Young and Ji Hoon just dozed off at the couch while Min Hyun just watched them carefully. Daniel was closing his eyes like a cat (he loves his cat so he's imitating as one) with Dae Hwi filming them on video. Everyone is tired and sleepy but work continues. Jae Hwan continues his quest in composing a new song for the fans. The audition for Little Wanna One to be featured in their new music video is led by a famous MV director. There were many small kids aged from 7-10 years participating in the audition. 

First up was a little boy who dressed like Seong Woo and did his singing and satoori ascent. They were impressed with him. Next up was a little boy who went on saying 'really...absolutely, daebak...heol' - the most famous statement initiated by Seong Woo at Produce 101. Everyone laughed while the originator is embarrassed. The boy was giggling away as he is stunned to see his idols sitting in front of him. PD tells him to shake hands with them, immediately he embraced his favourite hyung, Daniel. Cue! Music starts when the kid requests the song to start at 0.40 for Open Up (Knock!) where he demonstrated the trademark thigh sweeping dance! Wow!

The guys cracked up when one kid walked in lazily- the typical Jae Hwan style. He even has the mushroom hairstyle and when Ji Sung asks him to show what he has prepared...the boy just started singing sarcastically 'No, why should I?....etc' with all clapping laughing out loud. Ji Sung looks flustered. Woo Jin and Sung Woon are excited to see the Little Ji Hoon wannabe...he looks like him when he was a kid. One of a child actors started crying in a role which made Dae Hwi teared up because it reminded him he lost his father when he was very young.

A Japanese kid Sousenko took the plane all the way to arrive at the audition. Since Min Hyun is fluent in Japanese, he asked what was his dream?-that is to dance with his favourite idols - his bias is Woo Jin. He exerted his moves of Pick Me (It's Me) so well esp the hard choreo. Daniel agreed that they should dance together for the song Energetic since it was the boy's dream to do so. Early in the year of 2017, eleven guys started off as trainees to achieve their long time dream. And today they stand on the stage as a big inspiration and role models for younger kids. 

Continuing on, the members were brought in a van heading towards Paju at night. It was freezing cold and they were rugged up thinking are they heading to Sung Woon's grandpa farm again. Ji Sung doesn't even want to think of it. Min Hyun thought they are going back to the English Village where it was the main base for Produce 101. Oh no! The thought of it sends a chill down to Kuan Lin's spine. Dae Hwi blurted out are they heading to some mental institution? Ji Sung wonders if this is a special horror nightmare excursion while Min Hyun teased Daniel being the best build member but is the real scaredy-cat of all. Indeed "Kang-centre"agreed he can't stand even 5 minutes in the horror house as he freaked out easily.
              
However the members were treated to a big warehouse with many rooms, games and interesting toys were ready for them to play with. Being a big kid, Min Hyun jumped to a room filled with plastic balls and laid there happily. Woo Jin hopped on the racer bike and rest were excited with the things prepared. Jae Hwan continues blabbing around thanking all but whom is he talking to? (as usual when he talks and no one responds to him) poor dude.... 
Out of nowhere Daniel jumps in excitement something in his room...everyone rushed to see what's the hype...what could it be? ...
