Running Man in Dubai (Part 1)

The Running Man team has gone on a new adventure- free & easy travel at Dubai (United Arab Emirates UAE) It is cold bitter winter in Seoul and the team and production staff are excited to visit a new country with two guests- actor Jung Il Woo and actress Lee Da Hae.
It took them nearly 10 hours to get to Dubai and upon arriving at the airport as early as 6am, fans were queuing up to greet them. They received a warm welcome and Kwang Soo was indeed hailed as Asia Prince showered with flowers and plank cards. Da Hae commented the program is so popular that they are known in overseas.

They were brought to Burj Khalifa tower (one of the highest buildings in the world that

stands 828 m in height. It took them 1 minute to reach up to 80th floor where mission was given to them. Free and easy tour for everyone to enjoy- each one has to collect 10 stamps while visiting the main tourist spots and play a game. They have to finish the mission by 3.00 pm and the lowest earners will sleep overnight at the desert! The top 5 winners will sleep and enjoy retreat at a luxury hotel near the desert. Il Woo and Jong Kook opted for skydiving since it will earned them straight away 10 stamps without going anywhere else. Da Hae voluntarily joined them only to start trembling later on when told it's going to be 3000 over feet jumping out from the moving airplane. Haha! This woman is clueless when she discovers she isn't doing a bungee jump- it's sky dive from in the open air! 

Monday Couple opted for JBR Beach which boasts one of the most iconic scene- the Burj Al Arab sail building with the clear emerald sea water. Foreigners were almost everywhere. Kwang Soo and Haha went to beach area where they began playing an interesting game

with the locals. Surprisingly a Dubai lady fan recognized Haha and even took photos with them. RM is indeed popular in overseas! Kwang Soo is engrossed with women in bikini along the beach but only to be ignored when he greeted them. Jae Suk and Suk Jiheaded to the Souk Madinat Jumeirah- an upper class traditional market that sells various products.Games were played through their easy travel tour. However Jae Suk and Suk Jin were engrossed with scenery that they have forgotten to count the number of bridges they have crossed. They were running out of time in collecting the 10 stamps. Gary won easily for the sand relay game with the locals. He even breezed through the puzzle which needed him to use his brains. Ji Hyo won the towel twisting water with a newly wedded couple.

As for the thrill seekers- they were ready for the 3000 feet sky dive at Al Sufouh with the coach Darren Burke. The cameramen were dressed in wing suits to film the magical event. I bet the skydive is not a cheap event. Da Hae is trying to chicken out but she kept her word to the last moment. As they boarded the plane, Jong Kook is feeling very nervous too. The diving instructor went first and confirmed it was safe to skydive. Jong Kook was the first to jump off the plane and off he went with the instructor and cameraman. It was just thrilling to see they fly down with a magnificent view of Palm Jumeirah (biggest man made islands) with the clear blue skies. Kookie looks like a muscular flying squirrel in the air. LOL! 

Followed by Il Woo who kept his cool when he jumped off the plane while catching the cameraman's leg- an actor cannot loses his image. Ha ha! Next was Da Hae who really did
skydiving without screaming much. It was beautiful when the three landed safely and enjoyed every moment of it. Scary but as soon as one is out in the air with the instructor- there is nothing to lose but to enjoy the spectacular view from aerial air and weather.
Immediately the three scored 10 stamps and get to sleep in the resort without doing anything else. Jae Suk and Suk Jin chose a Dubai Zipline jump where it starts from  in front of Burj Khalifa and Souk Al Bahar crossing over the Dubai fountains. It takes 40 seconds for enthusiasts to enjoy the new thrill. But the two seniors freaked out upon seeing the height. On top of that they have to memorize some lines upon reaching the end of the line to complete mission winning 3 stamps. Jae Suk finished the mission, Suk Jin chickened out at the last minute, Kwang Soo finished to the end line but forgotten all his memorized lines.

It was 3.00 pm so all members were to gather in the city area boarding the 4WD vehicles on their new adventure- Dubai desert safari ride! Took them a while to leave the city skyline and arrive into a rough, windy ride along the desert trails on the 4WD. Jae Suk is surprised to see the drivers start deflating the tires of the vehicles. What they didn't expect is a bumpy, scary ride across the desert fields. The members screamed in fear and started holding the handles inside the car as the drivers just smirked at them. Kwang Soo kept telling the driver it's dangerous, look out! look out! The driver just laughed at the scaredy-cat members. This is called dune bashing- riding through the desert landscape while maintaining balance.
Jae Suk, Il Woo and Da Hae freaked out when their vehicle has either broken or no handles for them to hold so they rolled around as the car runs through the edge of the sand as if tumbling down the ravine. LOL!

Finally they arrived at the new game mission to determine the last 2 winners who gets to sleep in the resort. Skydivers Kook, Il Woo and Da Hae sat and watched the rest fight for survival. They were to run towards various boxes and wear those shoes they have picked. The first to reach and grab the flag wins extra stamps. First Jae Suk managed to win some points however he started to lose out when he picked toe socks! It all ended with Monday Couple racing to the flag but Gary flew and dashed straight to grab the flag. Ji Hyo was pissed off as she had sand all over her face. Gary might be nice to her in other way but when it comes for survival, tough luck, he will not give up to a woman. Hah!
As usual and predicted, Kwang Soo-Suk Jin-Jae Suk and Ha Ha were the losers so they have to spend a night at the desert camps. Da Hae felt bad for them so Il Woo offered them a big bar of Cadbury chocolate which resulted 4 fighting and snatching for the choc. Fight for the survival. Jae Suk warns them not to wander around else they will die. It's a desert and animals might attack them.

Winners headed back to the luxury retreat and enjoyed a BBQ dinner. Gary took a 360deg photo with everyone in it. They laughed out loud having a massive feast while pondering what the losers are doing alone in the dark cold desert.
