Hallyu group 2PM member Taecyeon has quietly enlisted for military services.
According to agency JYP Entertainment on the 4th September, Taecyeon was admitted to the recruitment training camp of Baekmae unit of Sung Seok-dong, Goyang city, Gyeonggi-do,
Taecyeon did not reveal the dates and places of the training camp for quiet enlistment at first. He just announced that he will be enlisting this year but did not reveal the exact date at the meeting with the fans at the 2PM concert in recent June.
JYP said, "As a citizen of the Republic of South Korea, he has enlisted to fulfil his military service obligation. He has enlisted on this day under the guidance of his family and members according to his own will, Taecyeon wanted to have it done quietly."
Taecyeon has US permanent resident but he gave up his green card for enlistment. He received the notice to work as a public service worker when he suffered from waist disc problem so he has decided to join the active service after going through surgery.
Taecyeon made his debut as a member of 2PM in 2008 and has appeared in various dramas and movies. He has already finished filming the OCN drama 'Save me' that is currently on air.
