Na Moon Hee raises the issue of comfort women.

Veteran actress Na Moon Hee (76) in the latest movie 'I Can Speak' (directed by PD Kim Hyun Suk) mentioned that she wanted to be part of the issue of comfort women - and as an actress, she is playing one of the role who happens to be victim of Japanese military. 

Usually before the filming of any movies or dramas, the casts and production crew including the director and scriptwriter will gather together for reading script practice.
After reading the script, the veteran actress felt these poor victims must have lived their lives in hell all these years. 
                                      
The film depicts the story of 'Grandma Na Ok Hun' (played by Nam Moon Hee), who is known as a goblin grandmother filing all kinds of complaints filed at the government office. She is trying to learn English from Park Min Jae (played by Lee Je Hoon) who is a public officer in charge of complaints. At first glance, it just looks like a typical comedy but when you look inside it is different. The message is showing on comfort women is stronger than expected. Through the persuasive performances of Na Moon Hee and Lee Je Hoon, the film ensures the audience to laugh and shed tears freely. 

This film is work from Kim Hyun Suk who has directed a few big movies such as 11.AM  (2013), Cyrano Agency (2010) and C'est si bon (2015). He has won the Blue Dragon Film Awards for Best Screenplay. 

Actress Na is versatile in playing comedy, heart breaking and family characters. Her action and expression definitely captures the audience attention. The special scene where she addresses the issue in public hearing at the US Congress was the main highlight in the movie.
The veteran actress has seen the completed movie for the first time and she can not say anything else except for thank you. It was an honour to work and being together in this work.
