Yoo Jae Suk and EXO's Dancing King slays in music charts.

The nation's MC Yoo Jae Suk has collaborated along with nation's popular idol group EXO.

According to EXO's agency- SM Entertainment, Yoo and the members have released the new hit entitled 'Dancing King' on 18th September at 11.00 am via music sites such as Genie, Naver Music, MNet Music, Ole Music. The new single has been on number one spot ever since it was released out.

SM through SM Station - a platform releasing new songs released it at 8.00 pm. The song has a number of sultry samba rhythms. Yoo and EXO members have been continuously practicing the dance routine. Yoo advised that it was a tiring day as he nearly forgotten the choreography steps.

On 11th September, Yoo and EXO received great response on the stage while performing at the Thailand Open Day. It was a first stage opening for the concert for the song Dancing King.

Carl who is the main choreographer was featured in the MBC Infinite Challenge program where he was coaching the EXO members and Yoo in the dance studio. Also members Sehun and D.O were seen laughing away at Jae Suk who merely complains every move was too difficult for him to follow and learn. 

The collaboration between Yoo and EXO in Infinite Challenge had the viewers ratings spike up at 14% - nearly 0.8% higher than previous episode. 

All the proceeds of Dancing King will be donated and yet to be decided.

Three Meals a Day: Fishing trip Season 3 feat. Lee Seo Jin, Eric Mun and Yoon Gyun Sang.

Actor Lee Seo Jin (45) together with actor/singer Eric Mun (37) and rising star Yoon Gyun Sang (29) will be heading to the sea. 

According to tvN, the three men will be appearing in the Season 3: Three Meals a Day- Fishing trip. Previously actors Cha Seung Won and Yoo Hae Jin faced that challenge when the two went into the fishing trip inside the rural village along with Seo Jin.

It is expected to see differences and laughter with new members Eric Mun who is a leader/rapper from longest running idol group Shinhwa along with actor Yoon Gyun Sang who hardly appears in variety programs except for Running Man. 

PD Na Young Suk who is responsible for the Three Meals a Day program mentioned the members are going to another new island for the fishing trip. And the three men are bound to present different personalities.

Lee Seo Jin has been co-hosting the program Talents for Sale alongside Kim Jong Kook and No Hong Chul. 

Just how would our dear prickly Hyung Seo Jin be encountering with the 2 younger 'dong saeng' in the trip... Mmmm... I wonder...

Moonlight designer mentions Park Bo Gum's perfect clothing's were revived.

The viewers episode ratings were clocked at over 20% for the popular KBS2TV drama 'Moonlight drawn by Clouds'. The hanbok designer Lee Jin Hee mentions that leading actor Park Bo Gum has made it so well with what he has worn in the drama.

Designer Lee mentioned on 16th September via SNS that 'Prince Bo Gum' has made it a surprise each time he wears the hanbok.' Lee has met many actors and actresses before, worked well with all of them, some celebs just do well in donning in the hanboks with their great body proportion and shape. But it is the first time they have received so great remarks on what Bo Gum has worn in the drama.

Designer Lee was responsible for the styling and costumes in dramas such as 'White Tower', Sungkyunkwan Scandal and the movie 'Cosmetic'. 

Actor Park Bo Gum is not only young at age, but he has resume the role of 'Crown Prince Lee Young' so well that he's definitely enjoying the fame and attention right now. Park has been receiving much attention after starring in the tVN's series Reply 1988. He was instead crowned as the main hero of the drama.

Moonlight drawn by Clouds has proven to be successful in the Mon-Tue night drama slot.
Also starring in the drama is Kim Yoo Jung, Jin Young and Chae Soo Bin. The last special two episodes were broadcast during the Chuseok Holidays recording relatively high ratings as well. 

Happy Chuseok & Mid Autumn Festival!

Millions of South Koreans will be travelling home to their hometowns and overseas this coming Chuseok holidays. Chuseok is a major harvest festival that stretches a long weekend whereby everyone goes home to see their family and friends, celebrate the traditional holiday with lots of food, games or either relaxing somewhere in overseas. 

Public transportation especially buses, trains, KTX are swarmed with locals rushing home to see their loved ones, children on holiday mood dressed in bright beautiful hanboks, cheery happy faces looking forward for the long weekend. Even though the recent 5.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Gyeonju on Monday didn't affect much people as it was seen sea of people crowding around trains and KTX to go home.

Some traditional family will hold their ritual rites with a colorful array of dishes, food, sweets and fruits for their ancestors. They will also play traditional games and donned in traditional clothing's. Rice cakes (songpyeon) is the most common and traditional sweets that are made and served in Chuseok holidays. 

 

For those who are celebrating Thanksgiving (Chuseok) in South Korea, hope you have a great and wonderful holiday with your loved ones. As for the rest of the people in the other side of the world (like me), there is no major public holidays as I have to work. 

Nevertheless, the Chinese do celebrate Mid Autumn Festival (Mooncake festival) on 15th September.

Age of Shadows dominating the local cinemas with 3 million viewers.

South Korea's new movie 'Age of Shadows 밀정' is indeed dominating the movie charts breaking 3 million viewers after been released in the cinemas 8 days ago.

According to the Korean Film Council, the tickets integrated to the computer network recorded for the last 7 days since it was opened in local cinemas, Age of Shadows movie has accumulated a total of 3 million viewers.

It has surpassed the 3 million mark and due to the Chuseok (Thanksgiving) holidays in South Korea, Age of Shadows has quickly made its mark faster than the previous hit movies such as Gwanghae (Masquerade), King and the Clown and The Throne (Sado).

The movie is currently number 1 in its local and overseas despite opening only a week ago. Its distributor Warner Bros mentioned they are expecting it to blow out bigger in the coming Chuseok holidays.

Age of Shadows is a work containing the breath taking and migration, operational disturbances between the Japanese police and the Korean independence fighters. 
The movie stars veteran actors Song Kang Ho (from Snowpiercer, The Throne) and recently big hit star Gong Yoo (Train to Busan) is definitely a great movie flick to watch in the cinemas.

Actor Ji Soo undergoes acute osteomyelitis surgery.

It was sudden but relieving news for young actor Ji Soo who has undergone acute osteomyelitis surgery. 

Ji Soo's entertainment agency has mentioned that the actor went for the quick surgery on 13th September and is doing well in recovery.

Recently the actor has been suffering from pain in his legs and have been treating them with numerous medicine however with so many tests carried out, they have yet to know what is his illness.

His health condition did not improve further and at last he was rushed to the hospital after severe pain and fever with symptoms of the night before the test results were out. The doctors have to quickly decide on surgery after the findings of his tests.

The surgery went well and for more accurate results, they are waiting for medical advice.

As for the shooting of the current drama 'Fantastic' to be on schedule, the production team are finding ways in order not to delay it. 

With the treatment over the next few weeks, his leg might hurt when he travels to the hospital. However good news is the MRI scan findings shown it is not cancer of the bone and it's just acute osteomyelitis. Prayers were all answered and all concerns and well wishes were conveyed to the actor.

Idol senior-junior couple Jun Su and Hani breaks up.

Group JYJ member Kim Jun Su (29) and EXID's Hani (24) have announced their relationship is over. 

On 13th September, Hani's agency representative confirmed they broke up came naturally and it is because due to their busy work schedules. Privacy life is rather difficult for the two singers and they are staying more focus on future music activities.

Last January, it was announced that the two were going out as an official couple where netizens labelled them as 'hoobae' (junior) and 'sunbae' (senior) couple since they are both in the entertainment industry. Junsu debuted earlier before Hani and have done so well for himself in concerts and performances.

Currently Junsu is busy with his few months musical concert- Dorian Gray.

When we first heard of the news- the fans were heart broken...but most of us knew these type of relationships wouldn't last long. 
And we were right...they broke up in such a short period of time. 

Jung Hyung Don returns back to Weekly Idol program.

Due to the comedian's health problem, Jung Hyung Don (38) has stopped all his broadcasting activities just over a year ago. He was mostly seen in MBC Everyone Weekly Idol program.

According to Jung, the MBC Everyone's  first episode to be broadcast on 5th October has been scheduled and is recorded ahead of the month. He's back to work again!

During the past 6 months of Jung's absence from the program, Super Junior's Kim Hee Chul and EXID's Hani have replaced him in hosting it with fellow emcee Defconn.

Weekly Idol program has been launched since 2011 with many idol groups and celebrities appearing in it. Ratings have rose steadily and Jung's place has been there all the time.

The crew mentioned Jung was one of the most crucial role in the program for growth. It was definitely great news to hear Jung has sprung back to work as he has a special attachment and commitment for Weekly Idol program.

Jung has stopped all his activities since last November due to anxiety disorder. He almost collapse when filming MBC's Infinite Challenge program. However he made a brief appearance on 10th September for the 'Infinite' boss episode which would imply the possibility of his return.

Jealousy sparks in gender bender Moonlight Drawn By Clouds.

As audience have been drawn to the Mon-Tue prime night slot KBS drama Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, there was something that spark in the air. Two words- jealousy and romance.
The last episode of the drama shows Crown Prince Lee Yeong saved Eunuch Hong (Ra On) from been send off to Ming country (China) by the evil corrupted envoy.

He also discovered that Yoon Sung is part of the saving strategy as he tipped off bodyguard Kim Byung on the routes of the illegal exchange process. To his surprise Yeong doesn't think Yoon Sung is as good since his grandfather is the evil PM and his aunt in Queen Kim.

Rumors in the palace started circulated that the Crown Prince is turning 'gay' and shifting his attentions to his close eunuch has somehow reached the ears of Yeong and Ra On who were left astounded. Yeong just took it as a plain joke laughing off loudly. Ra On suddenly discovers Eunuch Ma is in love with the Princess' court lady. When Ra On offers to help the two star crossed lovers, she gets into trouble as well. 

Queen Kim starts abusing Ra On and ill-treating her in front of Yeong. Yeong stood firm and told Ra On to stand up firmly. He dished back to the Queen regarding the rumors regarding him being gay. The Queen caught a glance on how Yeong looked at Ra On indifferently to how he previously treated his eunuchs. A King's order was passed down to have a thorough medical examination on all eunuchs. Eunuch Ma stood in to quickly help out Ra On knowing her secret. She is thankful for his favor and he is thankful to her for helping him out sorting his feelings for the court lady. 

Crown Prince seems uninterested in the moves by Lady Ha Yeon

Ra On reminded the Crown Prince to treat her as normally he would with other subjects in the palace. Yeong kept quiet but the next day he instructed her to meet him at a garden where he started telling him how he feels. Ra On was taken back and shocked when Yeong tells her that he is the Crown Prince and he is one man...all he knows is he loves her. Well...her or him...we don't know if Yeong really refers Ra On to him/her. The hell with it!  He even rejects the invitation of Ha Yeon to walk together with him at the garden... No matter how pretty a girl is, Yeong couldn't care less because in his eyes, there is no one else he sees except for Ra On.

I give thumbs up for Yeong's bravery and guts to tell his subject his true feelings without beating about the bush. The ratings topped at 20% with the start of the romance and forbidden love. 

1 Night 2 Days for Drama Road mission to Mt. Taebaek.

After an enormous road trip with gagman Kim Jun Hyun and actor Park Bo Gum, the casts of 1 Night 2 Days were informed for their next trip to dress 'charmingly' and bring their passports. Defconn reckons they are going to an English Village while the rest ponders what to wear. The day of the filming, Jun Ho was dressed rather casually however he was surprised to see Defconn was wearing a black blazer, the same goes with Shi Yoon and Jun Young. Tae Hyun was dressed rather normal with a sunhat however Jong Min was a shocker in his wardrobe! Despite him confirming that his wide open sleeve shirt was an inspiration from a model from a magazine however the feeling was different. Shi Yoon sneers that he can even see Jong Min's belly from the side when he sits down! Jun Ho changes his outfit and he reckons he looks more like Daniel Craig from 007. Muahahah!

PD Yu tells them they are doing blood test mission to which everyone cringes the thought of

needles and medical examination. However it was not withdrawing blood but deciding which blood type belongs to the 3 production staffs by judging their characteristics. Tae Hyun and
Jun Ho scored the best so they decide which members to take. Tae Hyun goes with the Medical Team with Jun Young and Jun Ho. The Detached Team consists of Defconn, Shi Yoon and Jong Min. They were brought in dark tinted window vans to board a helicopter. Jun Ho's fast thinking reminded them the Medical Team was given scarves which was literally the same worn by Song Hae Gyo in Descendants of the Sun drama! Detached Team received pair of Ray Ban sunnies where Shi Yoon pointed out it was the one Song Joong Ki wore as Captain Yoo Shi Jin in the drama.

As soon as two teams boarded the same helicopter, Jong Min started freaking out. He didn't like heights but he started to get used to it after Bo Gum made him overcome his fear. PD Yu gave them some in flight meals which was only a soda and some hard crackers! My god!

They were expecting great sandwiches and hot meals as what air planes would serve. Jun Ho and Jun Young started snoozing away. Jong Min started a drink fight with PD Yu as he refused to share his soda with him. The hard snacks were dry and difficult to swallow. PD Yu wanted to have some of Jun Ho's but Jong Min snatched it back with revenge. Talk about flexibility...they started to revenge back on PD Yu. Ha ha! Tae Hyun reckons the trees around the mountains look like broccoli from far. They reached Taebaek Mt. with so much wind blowing away. 

As they board down the helicopter, visuals caption stated usually actors come down from it with a fabulous look however Jong Min looked like an orang utan running in the wild! 

Tae Hyun looked as if his mind wasn't right, Defconn still munching away his snacks but Shi Yoon just strutted away like a runway model with his sunnies! PD Yu takes them for a Drama Road tour as it was the drama set shot for Descendants of the Sun. Urk was not a real place- it was shot in Taebaek Mt. with the background of medical camp and the ruins of the earthquake buildings. Now 2 teams have to play game for their lunch. The winners will get to feast on 'Samgyetang' - the nutritious ginseng soup chicken. Both teams have to reenact scene where Captain Yoo asks Doctor Kang Mu Yeon if she can save the Arab VIP in the medicube room. By using lame gag words, they are supposed to make the youngest writer who is known as Ice Princess laugh. Her heart started pounding when Shi Yoon starts his acting, however she fails to laugh. She started laughing when Jun Ho and Jun Young started their rubbish gag words. First round winner was Medical Team. 

Second game is 'Love Bomb'- the drama scene was played where Yoo Shi Jin saved Kang Mu Yeon after detonating the bomb vest she was wearing. Defconn and Jun Young were the victim sitting below the big balloon filled with water. The rest of the members are to cut off the colorful ropes leading to the balloon. One of the ropes will unleash the balloon of water.

Detached team won it easily while Jun Young paid the price of getting splashed with water. 
Third game is filling the patient in a bath tub filled with ice and water. OMG! Tae Hyun and Jong Min were picked as the patient. The drama scene was where actress Kim Ji Won was diagnosed with high fever from the virus, so the doctors have to cool her down by putting ice onto her. Tae Hyun and Jong Min struggled in the icy water bath tub and screaming away.

Defconn put so much ice onto Jong Min's bum and it froze off! Tae Hyun's temperature dropped 5 over degrees after been measured by PD Yu. However Jong Min's temperature just dropped by 1 over degree as his bum was frozen to death instead! Medical Team wins the lunch game and gets the nice meal. Losing team gets combat ration food as what the soldiers eat when they travel and on missions. 

Tae Hyun starts calling Song Hae Gyo on the phone where she answered and the guys squealed immediately upon hearing her voice. She laughed when they told her they are reenacting the scenes of the drama. Jun Young starts telling her he loves her, they are her biggest fans...etc... she just thanked them and said they should invite her to the program- yes...one day! We will wait for that to happen...
