Hwarang boys visit 1 Night 2 Days.

The 3 actors from the new KBS drama- Hwarang visits 1 Night 2 Days as their new guests.
A palanquin turned up at the nearby river bridge as Tae Hyun eagerly hopes for a female guest to turn up. The casts were only interested in seeing either the two female leads- Seo Yeo Ji or Go A-Ra. Unknown to them, PD Yu has already arranged 1 hour before the filming for Park Seo Jun, Park Hyung Shik and Choi Min Ho to blend in as part of the staff members.

As the palanquin edges closer towards the casts, Tae Hyun then realized 3 male guests started approaching them casually. There was nobody in the palanquin except posters of Go A-Ra. LOL! The men seem disinterested in having male guests in their show. Poor them...


However Defconn didn't seem to mind them at all. Today's episode is Flower Men Winter Camp. As everyone knows Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Shik and Choi Min Ho are in the Hwarang drama. Tae Hyun reckons Hwarang boys are like Shi Yoon's clique- "Hwarang F4 vs Hwa-sang F4"! 

So they are to cast their vote on their own ranking themselves in terms of good looks. Surprisingly Seo Joon became the last one and he started pouting wondering if there was a hidden camera prank for him. He even lost out to Defconn and Jun Ho! Oh dear! His new nickname is Mr. Ugly and he had to stand the last on the line.

First game is jumping rope and in order each of them have to remove a piece of clothing and turn around. At first, Shi Yoon was the black hole but slowly turns out that Jun Ho was too excited swinging the rope around that it caught on either Jong Min or Min Ho's head. The casts and guests have to start removing layers of their clothes. Min Ho worries whether KBS will air this episode since they have to remove their t-shirts to the last barring their abs and body. Tae Hyun comfored them stating that they have been doing such thing for the past 3 years! Hah! The camera pans to where the 3 Hwarang boys were doing well in the jumping rope mission and they have well build solid bodies for their roles. They managed to skip off 2 games from the main board.

Next the bus took them to Mount Doegyu National Park. It has a ski resort, gondola cable car rides and mountains to 
trek around. Mt Doegyu lies at the ridges of Baekdudaegan. Luckily they have omitted the scenery game otherwise they have to hike from the base to the peak which will be a torturous mission! The trees were covered with snow and everyone lamented that winter is really here in South Korea. Everyone was dressed in thick parka, jackets, caps and thermals. PD Yu tells them 2nd game is throwing their show over the edge. The one who throws furthest will enjoy great lunch such as Chef Course Meal, Asia culinary, Healthy food for men and canteen set food.

Jun Ho and Jong Min were the first so they will be having Chef Course, Hyung Shik and Shi Yoon took the Asian cuisines, Defconn and Seo Joon chose the Healthy meals while Min Ho and Tae Hyun had no choice but to take the bento set. Each team have 15 minutes to eat their meal during the gondola ride. Turns out the last team were having more enjoyable food with hot soup. Everything was already served on the tray. The Chef Course took ages as they really have a chef sitting in the cable car preparing the dishes for them! Hyung Shik and Shi Yoon quickly chugged in the Vietnamese spring rolls to finish up in time.Meanwhile Defconn and Seo Joon were disappointed as they have 1 bowl of steamed marsh snails for 'healthy food'. It was bitter and bland so Seo Joon decided to skip it and gave up. Jong Min and Jun Ho were rushing the chef to sped up their dishes and they were astonished to see a a giant Russian lobster for their last course. They couldn't finish in time and grabbed the claws out from the gondola. Everyone envied them for their luxurious meal however they complained the chef was doing some Picasso art in the ride!

Tune in for next episode of Hwarang boys whether Park Seo Joon will be able to change his unlucky episodes in 1 Night 2 Days and live up to his flower boy image. 

Kim Soo Hyun renews his contract with KeyEast.

Hallyu star Kim Soo Hyun (28) has renewed his contract with his agency KEYEAST.

On the 19th December, Kim has mentioned that he has grown to be a matured actor all over the 7 years with KeyEast agency. He has been in the industry for the past 10 years and to have a great partnership with Keyeast is nothing more to ask. He has a positive feeling towards the agency and will be looking forward to cooperate together.

Kim Soo Hyun was signed in Keyeast since 2010. 


He debuted as an actor in the drama Kimchi Cheese Smile in 2007. Since then he started in Dream High series 2011 and became a top star in 2012 after becoming a lead in Moon Embracing the Sun. Not long he was a Hallyu star when he starred in My Love from the Star in 2013. In 2015, he won the Grand Prize (Dae-sang award) for the KBS drama Producers.

He is currently considering his next project.

Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Yoo Jung promotes their new movie - Because I Love You.

Actor Cha Tae Hyun and teen actress Kim Yoo Jung were busy promoting their new film- Because I Love You 사랑하기 때문에. 

Both were at the press conference for the movie at Lotte Cinema in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
Somehow Kim Yoo Jung seems a bit lost at the moment with her photos captured and her hair sticking out all over the place.

The movie is expected to roll out in the cinemas next January 2017.
Directed by PD Ju Ji Hong, the movie opens with the story on a brilliant song writer Lee Hyung. Lee Hyung starts to connect people who have failure in relationships. His clients were Hyung Gyeong who inspires to be a singer, high school student Scully and Chan Young a colleague of Hyung Gyeong who is in love with her but to no avail.

And in order to help those who are helpless, Lee Hyung has to take over their body to complete the mission. 

In fact the movie is produced by Cha Tae Hyun's elder brother who also produced the movie The Grand Heist. 

Co-starring in the movie are Seo Hyun Jin, Im Joo Hwan, Park Geun Hyung, Sung Dong Il and Bae Seong Woo.

Ji Soo and Seohyun to cameo in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.

Actress Seohyun and actor Ji Soo will be making their cameo appearances in the current drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. 

According to the news on the 19th December, Seohyun and Ji Soo are expected to make their appearances in the drama. Apparently the two have already filmed their scenes in the drama and will be broadcast this week's episodes.

Seohyun and Ji Soo have worked together with actor Nam Joo Hyuk on August for the SBS drama Scarlet Heart: Moon Lovers. In Scarlet Heart, Joo Hyuk and Ji Soo were Goryeo Princes. Seohyun was the last Baekje Princess with her romantic relationship with Joo Hyuk. In real life Ji Soo and Nam Joo Hyuk are close best friends.

Viewers will be expecting some twist in the drama and what kind of characters both Seohyun and Ji Soo will be portraying in it.

Gong Yoo's Goblin drama tops its ratings at 12.9%

The drama 'Goblin' (written by Kim Eun Sook and directed by PD Lee Eung Bok) once again exceeded its highest audience rating.

According to Nielsen Korea on the 18th December,the cable TV channel tVN drama 'Goblin', which was broadcast on the previous day, recorded the nationwide average ratings of 12.9% (based on paid platforms) . At the moment, the highest audience rating was 14.0%.

The popularity of 'Goblin' is the steepest among the dramas aired previously on paid cable channels. On October 2nd, 'Goblin' started off with ratings of 6.6% on its first episode and slowly exceeded the 10% audience ratings only by broadcasting 3 times. The cable channel drama's highest audience rating, 'Reply 1988', has exceeded the 7th rating 10% and 10 times 12%.

Goblin is a romantic comedy drama which is written by star writer Kim Eun Sook whose works were hit dramas. She wrote Descendants of the Sun which took 38.8% ratings, Secret Garden 35.2%, The Heirs 25.6%, Gentlemen of Dignity 24.4%, On Air 26.2% and Lovers in Paris 57.6%. Her works have been major hits among audience. 

Goblin has probably attracted the vast audience due to the A-List stars including Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na and BTOB's Yook Sung Jae. 

On the 6th episode, it has shown the audience the romantic relationship between the goblin Kim Shin and the high school student Ji Eun Tak (played by Kim Go Eun).

And to be honest, I don't fancy Kim Go Eun's acting skills and find her a bit out of place in this drama. The main lead seems to be rather lost and annoying at times...I in fact was looking forward for all the scenes between the Grim Reaper and Sunny. Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na kept me going with the drama. 

The 2nd couple is my bias...No doubt I love Gong Yoo's acting but it seems he should be paired with a better actress.

Park Bo Gum promotes his tour in Hong Kong.

Doing his promotional meet the fans tour, actor Park Bo Gum stops by Hong Kong and shows his sword skills during a press conference.

He started off his Asia tour on December 10th at Malaysia and started touring South East Asia with his super popularity from the KBS drama Moonlight Drawn by Clouds. The Hong Kong tour attracted a total of 4000 fans who were happily cheering for him.

Park also visited the famous Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. He mentioned this was his third time to Hong Kong. He is very happy and glad to be celebrating Christmas with his fans in Hong Kong. He's also struggling with the language to communicate with his fans.
Since he starred in the tVN drama Reply 1988, he has been in the main spotlight with fans avidly cheering for him.

Seven First Kisses Lotte web drama- Episode 2-3

As we continue the fantasy of Soo Jin- a simple naive looking employee at Lotte Duty Free Departmental Store she gets her first taste of date with good looking men. All thanks to the fairy godmother, Choi Ji Woo who heard and granted her wish to sneak a kiss from a future boyfriend. 

Fairy godmother granted her wish whereby she meets Lee Jun Ki who happens to be a tech billionaire driving one of the flashy red convertible car. He pesters her out for dinner and even waited for her. Not knowing what's going on, she just followed him back to the big nice mansion where she started realizing that Jun Ki has a keen interest on her since she was a kid. He happens to go to the same church as she was and even secretly snapped some photographs of her. 

Unable to digest what is happening, Jun Ki gave her a bouquet of red roses hoping to progress further on the relationship. But everything just stopped and within 10 minutes, Soo Jin finds herself back standing at the front desk looking at customers. It was like a dream.
Jun Ki was nowhere to be found and instead her colleagues nabbed meanly at her for just dozing off. They asked her to vote for the best boss and she was still in daze. 

Suddenly her boss walked up to her and grabbed her mobile phone. All reeled in more shock, her boss is Park Hae Jin. She gasped and he told her off not to use mobile phone during working hours. Before he left, he told her to pick up her phone after work. 

Obediently, he went to her boss office after work to pick up the phone. As usual she started day dreaming how good looking Park Hae Jin was...etc. Then he asked her to work over time and had sushi for dinner together. One night Soo Jin discovers there was this psycho stalker snapping her photographs and even flashing himself at her. She was crying badly and in tried to push him away. Just in time, her boss came to hit the stalker away and reported him to the cops. 

Since Soo Jin doesn't have a boyfriend and have been working OT, Hae Jin casually asked if she wishes to go out with him. Horrified, she didn't know how to answer him. Things are just moving too fast. Hae Jin takes the answer as yes since she didn't say anything. As he leans forward to kiss her....again, the clock ticks and she finds herself back normal at the desk. She turns the card and read the back- the words stated- don't kiss anyone casually.

It didn't state the sender's name and address. Just a plain looking envelope with a red seal.
Next the camera pans to a bunch of triads looking for Ji Chang Wook. He's all dressed up as if he was in his role in 'Healer' running away from some people. 

Was 2016 a great or bad year?

As we are gearing towards the end of the year, let's take some time to reflect back for the past 300+ days that we have been through the year 2016.

There were many major events that took place in 2016. Around the world, we lost a few legendary singers such as David Bowie, Prince, actor Alan Rickman (from Harry Potter), heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali, golfer Arnold Palmer and many more.
There were wedding bells for Eva Longoria, swimmer Michael Phelps, comedian Kevin Hart but also divorces from Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, famous couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, singer Gwen Stefani..etc.

The world economy was shaky with oil prices dropping like nothing for the first half of the year which truly affects my organisation that I've been with for so many years.
Manufacturing are suffering a lot too and there have been many unemployment.

And of all the biggest event was the voting and campaign for US where Trump vs Clinton.
Surprisingly Trump triumphs over the event and many people were stoked. We have some shocking news from South Korea where the scandal of President Park Geun Hye with her friend who has been involved in the huge corruption problem. It's never ending and I can see that Park might need to step down looking at how the citizens are so against her leadership.

As for K-entertainment, were happy endings for couples such as Goo Hye Sun-Ahn Jae Hyun, After School Kahi married CEO Yang Jun Mo, power couple Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young became parents, former U-Kiss Eli and wife, actress Han Ga In welcomes a new baby after marriage for many years, ex- H.O.T leader Moon Hee Jun with Crayon Pop member...new relationship formed where UEE started dating actor Lee Sang Yoon. 

It also marked the start of first generation idols returning back to entertainment industry. Sechs Kies returned after 16 years of separation and they were stronger than ever. As for dramas, we see first half of 2016 was dominated by Song-Song Couple (Song Joong Ki and Song Hae Gyo) from the drama Descendants of the Sun. Second half is all flooded with Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung from the drama Moonlight drawn by Clouds. 

Then came in BTS conquered the music industry and winning the Dae-Sang award over the popular group EXO. Well, it's time for BTS army fans to start celebrating over their hard work. As for girl groups- fans of girl 2NE1 are devastated over the breakup of the group however there is Black Pink that seems to win over the new fans. 

What's more we see that the drama land is clutching more viewers from various ages with romantic handsome veteran actors coming back such as Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Park Hae Jin and many more. 

And nevertheless we are treated to some eye-candy dramas such as Legend of Blue Sea and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo with various cameos from other celebrities. Lee Min Ho's fantasy romance with Jeon Ji Hyun while adorable Nam Joo Hyuk's buddy friendship with the cutie Lee Sung Kyung had our hearts tugged. 

As the clock ticks faster, we are nearing to end of December which means there will be plenty of entertainment, drama and music awards for 2016. For KBS by all means, we are watching for Song-Song Couple including Bo-Yoo couple- who will be taking the Dae-Sang...I am on the edge hoping the two couples do win something :D

Kim Joo Hyuk and Lee Yoo Yeong in a relationship.

Actor Kim Joo Hyuk (44) and actress Lee Yoo Yeong (27) are confirmed to be seeing each other.

According to Kim's agency Namoo Actors on 13th December, the two have been in a relationship since two months ago. Namoo Actors rep hope the public will look at them favorably and support them. Kim and Lee have worked together in the movie Yourself and Yours released this year and directed by PD Hong Sang Soo.

The two have been seeing each other after the filming. Lee Yoo Yeong debuted herself as an actress in the movie Late Spring (2014) and The Treacherous. She won Best  New Actress in 2014-52nd Grand Bell Awards, 6th KOFRA Film Awards for her role in Late Spring. She also won Best New Actress for her role in The Treacherous in 2015 36th Blue Dragon Film Awards. 

Success kick off Asia tour for Park Bo Gum.

Actor/model Park Bo Gum starts off his first Asia tour from Kuala Lumpur. He had his fan meeting- meet and greet session with the enthusiastic sea of fans. 

The fan meeting was held at Plenary Hall in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center in Malaysia on 10th December. Bo Gum managed to learn and memorize by hard some Malay words as he greeted them with a happy smile.

His fame really kicked off after he made a name for himself from the drama Reply 1988 and recently Moonlight drawn by Clouds. Bo Gum also entertained his fans with his signature 'bombastic' dance when he did the promotional trailer for Moonlight Drawn By Clouds drama. It was a dance that attracted so much attention since he was wearing the Crown Prince blue royal hanbok dancing a modern dance in the background of palace and row of royal guards with eunuchs.

He is set to continue his Asia tour to Hong Kong, Jakarta, Taipei, Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore and last stop back to Seoul.
