Shinhwa and ZE:A joins Running Man in Real Men episode

Again Running Man program brings us surprise this New Year episode with long running idols Shinhwa alongside with ZE:A group. After the yearly cooking battle episodes it was time to do the idol battle again. But this round it's Shinhwa who are literally the 'hyungs' to ZE:A. Honestly even Shinhwa are considered matured idols after been on stage for 17 years but they are still the same dudes. I'd term them as 'wine'- as it matures, it becomes finer and better.

Ji Hyo becomes MC for this episode while 6 men in each group will face their new challenges. Jun Jin becames engrossed in his solo dancing while Hyesung and Eric tells him to come back to his own spot. Jae Suk pointed out in his young days, Eric who is Shinhwa's leader hardly comes out for variety shows but the nosy Kwanghee interupts saying he has Eric's character too...only to be told off by Dong Wan  웃기지마! (don't be ridiculous!). ZE:A's leader Jun Young becomes an overnight celebrity after his SNS scandal broke out lashing at his current CEO and everyone wanted to know who he was.

Andy, Eric, Kim Dong Wan and Min Woo seen filming for RM
First mission is wrestling like a real man in the dirty mudflats pool. Whichever team members remain in the pool wins and will get to roll either the gold, silver and bronze dice with various points on it. There was the upper class, middle class and lower class of wrestlers. At times they struggle until they had to rest and get some water. And betrayal comes in with some teams partnering up to throw the others out from the pool. RM team wins the mudflats even after they struggled with martial arts Taehun and sporty Dong Jun from ZE:A.

Their 2nd mission was held at Ehwa Women's University grounds where each team picks a female student as their 'Queen' and they are to dodge the ball and protect the Queen as long as they could from the opponent. MC Ji Hyo was stunned when Dong Wan starts translating to the foreign student. Shinhwa team proves to be strong when Hye Sung immediately ousted ZE:A's Queen who was busy looking at Eric instead! The students were swooning away when Eric stand firm protecting his Queen. With Junjin's accurate shooting of ball, he was nearly destroying the fleet of cameras on the ground and even snapping off Suk Jin's cap from his head! But at last RM wins the dodge ball game.

Final mission was 'human ladder' where all members will start to pile and stand on each other's shoulder on a 90 degrees giant slope. The last member to climb up the human ladder rings the bell and wins the mission. At first all the ladders start to crumble. As they learn from their mistakes, each and everyone of them managed to grit their teeth and withstand the pain while the last member climbs up to ring the bell. Shinhwa team wins the 3rd round, ZE:A was on the 2nd spot while RM was last in the mission. Jun Young and Hyung Sik starts complaining Kwang Hee was never good at anything. His socks slipped and he was struggling while Jun Jin just bypass him like lightning.

The game was still not ever. The first 2 game points rolled from the dice will either be subtract or add into the final game points. Ji Hyo will be their lady luck picking up colored papers containing minus or add signs on it. The lowest 2 teams will get drenched with cold water on the platform they are standing. Everyone was lucky with Ji Hyo picking all plus signs however RM came with the highest score earning them the first spot. So poor Shinhwa and ZE:A had water poured straight down to their heads. Even though they had rain jackets they were still cheerful and laughing away.

I always wish the PD do invite such long standing idols are tough and competitive in sports. They sure do make the games interesting and exciting.
