Rising star Yoon Gyun Sang talks about his career.

Actor Yoon Kyun Sang was notably known after he starred in SBS drama Pinocchio as Lee Jong Suk's brother. Then he soared into stardom when he starred in The Time We Were in Love as Ha Ji Won's first love. He was then part of the big cast in the 50 episode sageuk drama Six Flying Dragons as Warrior Mu Yeol who was a personal bodyguard and friend to Lee Bang Won who then became King Taejong, the 3rd king of Joseon dynasty.

This year Yoon was selected to play the role of Doctor Jeong Yoon Do in SBS drama Doctors alongside Kim Rae Won, Park Shin Hye and Lee Sung Kyung. The ratings for Doctors hit 20% mark and sparked lots of attention even he was playing as second lead. His brilliant and charismatic character in Doctors captured the female audience.

After Doctors wrapped up, the actor has been taking a break and resting a fair amount of time. He was interviewed personally regarding the variety of roles he has taken so far.
For the past 5 years, he was nobody until the limelight came towards him. Playing Warrior Mu Yeol is definitely a challenging role as it requires lots of action and energy. And the difference of swinging a sword against the enemies versus using a mess scalpel in the surgery room to save patient's life didn't make it any easier for the actor. The medical terms and terminology needs to be memorized by hard.

He has chosen the right dramas -well-received both by critics and the public. The actor is happy of the work he has done and the praise he received from veterans and PDs.
His role Yoon Do didn't score any romantic scenes in Doctors however the love triangle didn't lead to any bad intentions or obsession. It ended perfectly.

For future opportunities, Yoon would like to try his hands on a romantic comedy role.
Since he has played warm and responsible characters, it was time for him to seek something else. There is nothing specific in the pipeline for the actor. Yoon is relaxing away and will be looking to carry on new work scope soon.
