We stopped at Itaewon to buy some souvenirs. That day it was exceptionally hot in the afternoon. After a quick lunch, we had to go into Holly's Coffee and have a our cool drinks to freshen up. I was sweating even it was Autumn!
Then we decided to go to War Memorial Museum which is not too far from Itaewon. Couldn't be bothered to walk so we took the subway to Samgakji and arrived at the front. The War Memorial Museum is an open area where it displays all the used military equipments used during the Korean War and how Americans won the battle to help Korea.
The museum displays Dokdo Island, General Lee Soon Shin's famous battleship- the 'turtleship' that has iron spikes on top of the ship to prevent Japanese invaders from invading South Korea. It was a great idea!
Insadong was another place that we had to visit as my dad hasn't been there. We ate different types of food at Gogung Restaurant and then tried the cane stick ice-cream. It was cool and refreshing with various flavours! Love it! Cheap and good!
Insadong is famous for its art craft and tourists love this area however things must be more expensive due to the touristy area. Beware! We bought a few bookmarks and compare the prices.
