Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2014 winners

The recent Mnet Asian Music Awards 2014 (MAMA) was held in Hong Kong. Here are the list of winners. I am glad some of my favorites are in the list...congratulations to all the winners and some that have missed out on bagging some awards. BTW, these polls were all online voting by fans...so you voted for them, this is what you get. :) Oh..also this MAMA event is not as grand as the Gayo Dae-sang awards in Korea.

Of course the biggest winner of 2014 were none other than EXO who literally took home Best Male Group, Artist of the Year, Best Song, Best Asian Artist (KOR) and Best Asian Style. - Is there a bloody award of Asian style? What the heck is that award?

I've been overdosed by too many EXO songs when I was in Seoul or at Nature Republic stores.

Anyway Big Bang's Tae Yang took home 3 awards too- Song of the Year, Best Male Artist and Best Vocal Performance. I have to say Tae Yang is one my favourite member in Big Bang...well his tatoos are overwhelming to me but he doesn't look much of a freak if compared anytime to G-Dragon or TOP.

Not to forget our favourite group INFINITE bagged 2 awards- Best Dance Performance Male Group for Last Romeo and K-POP Fan’s Choice Award-Male Group.
Those boys deserved it well. The song has got me hooked into it ever since I saw their MV online. Love the choreography and MV.

Singer IU stole 2 awards - Best Female Artist and Most Popular Vocalist. Not a very big fan of IU but good for her she stood well against some veteran singers like Baek Ji Young, Ailee, HyunA and Hyorin.

For band performance- CN Blue took home the award for Can't Stop single. Good for them!
Best OST (Original Soundtrack) goes to Lyn- My Destiny for the hit drama My Love from Another Star. Who could forget the love between the Do Min Joon and Cheon Song Yi?!

Best Rap Performance goes to EPIK High, K-POP Fan’s Choice Award-Female goes to sub unit TaeTiSeo of Girls Generation, Best Dance Performance for Female Group is Girl’s Day Something, Best Female Group goes to SISTAR, Best Music Video is awarded to 2PM, Best Vocal Performance for Female goes to Ailee.

One thing I've realized this year Super Junior, GOT7, VIXX, 4Minute, Beast have missed out on winning any awards. What a pity! They might have won in the past years but this year proves to be a year for group EXO but also a sad year for 2 members departing from the group. How we wish Kris and Luhan were there to share the awards and happiness but the have chosen to go on separate ways.
