Pre-Christmas Luncheon at World Food Bar at Southbank

Our fleet team Wurrundjeri has its ever first pre-Christmas lunch at World Food Bar restaurant located at Southbank, VIC today. So a bunch of the staff along with the Fleet team leader, Ashley and Operations Manager, Jason McLean decided to start piggin' out before Christmas.


Most of us decided to have the One-Pan chicken that comes in grilled chicken breast meat served with spinach, green beans, mint, some oily chorizos dished with a serve of pesto sauce. I have to say it tastes nice but rather oily coz the chorizo is super salty!


Sylvia ordered the Angus Beef Steak Sandwich served with a basket of fries and some special sauce. It is a huge serving that she couldn't finish the bun for the steak is darn big!


Douglas decided to go healthy smart with the pan seared salmon served with pearl cous cous salad and grated cucumber and light beans. It came on a big plate but the serving is edible even for a man. Good for him! I'd say it looks good.


The naughty table consists of all women decided to have some desserts to finish off the luncheon along with coffee. The sharing dessert plate has a passionfruit cheesake (creamy and rich), a vanilla ice-cream sandwich, a chocolate tart and served with grated apple at the side that looks more like a salad or cucumber! Not bad...

 Our luncheon lasted for nearly 2 hours and we have to wrap up quickly to get back to work. It was a good day to have lunch sitting under the cool and sunny weather of Melbourne. And of course we wished ourselves an early Christmas and bid farewell to Jason who is going back to sea and a new promoted Operations Manager within our team. Happy Days of 2014!
