The court has decided to seize JYJ's Kim Junsu hotel which he has invested KRW$28.5 billion. Toscana Jeju Hotel was constructed and built in Jeju-do Island mainly heavily invested by the Hallyu star.
On the 4th June, the third precint court of Jeju-do presiding judge decided to go ahead with the real estate seizure filed against Mr. Kim from A Construction Company which was involved in developing the Seogwipo hotel.
The court mentioned that even as a creditor of the debtor's claims that all construction contractors paid in cash= this fact should go through a rigorous examination of evidence in the case of any merits" and rights protected by the injunction application which is deemed necessary to keep the seizure until the final decision.
"A" Developer began construction work from April 2013 to August 2014 for the Toscana Jeju Hotel. The hotel covers an area 21 000 on the basement floor 26㎡, 61 Rooms (Main Building) with 4 ground-floor villa with a long pool.
The builders "did not return Toscana Hotel amenities funds loaned under the IOU but to Kim. Last November on the 7th claims paid and loans with construction companies involved in the Toscana Hotel and B together after the construction of real estate against seizure applied against Kim.
However Kim filed an appeal stating the IOU accounting data and the actual amount is not reimbursed. Looks like it's going to be a big headache for Junsu this year.
FYI- Toscana Jeju Hotel is been used as the main prop background for the MBC drama 'Warm and Cozy' where actor Lee Jung Jae is the CEO of the Noblesse Resort.
