Ask every girl in the streets of South Korea if they know who Jo In Sung is...bet you they'd scream their heads off if they ever see him in person or during KBS Star Date or Guerilla date. He's one of the hottest and most dashing actors in South Korea. With the height of 190 cm, slim and beautiful features, there is no wonder everyone looks at him in awe. Emcees, PDs and scriptwriters were all impressed with his gentle character and sharp looks. And we all know Jo In Sung rarely appears in variety shows except for once in Infinite Challenge when he was just released out not long from military and again he made headlines when he appeared at a guest in 1Night 2Days as Cha Tae Hyun's 'struggling' friend with Kim Ki Bang. It's amazing to see how close he is to Cha Tae Hyun and even addresses him hyung.
And all crew members were surprised to see a huge star turning up at Silmido in Incheon.
He's done several hit dramas such as What Happened in Bali with So Ji Sub and Ha Ji
Won, Piano with Go Soo and Kim Ha Neul, Spring Days with Ji Jin Hee and Go Hyun Jung, That Winter That Blows with Song Hae Gyo and It's Okay That's Love with Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Kwang Soo. He has also done several action filmed movies including Frozen Flower and Dirty Carnival. All eyes were on him when he was the first actor listed for the Air Force military division (one of the hardest camp apart from Marine). He already has a string of CFs under his belt such as make-up Missha, clothing Parkland, electronics LG, outdoor gear Black Yak and food Outback Steakhouse.
What I most liked about this actor is first time I saw him portraying the lovely character in the 2003 movie "The Classic" opposite actress Sohn Yeh Jin. And the song which was played during the scene where Sang Min and Ji Hye ran while hiding from the raindrops- 너에게 난 나에게 넌. I love every bit of this movie,...sad and happy at the same time. The movie is directed by PD Kwak Jae Yong who who filmed My Sassy Girl. But critics mentioned it didn't live up to their expectations after the successful movie My Sassy Girl. I guess it's a different type of story.
Mmm...I think I am going to start watching all classic korean movies which are meaningful and at times wacky too. They do bring a sense of humour and most of all they have strong casts who can really act to bring out the character. To name a few, I never get sick watching movies such as 'The King and the Clown' by Lee Jun Ki, Love So Divine by Kwon Sang Woo and Ha Ji Won and Lover's Concerto by Cha Tae Hyun and Sohn Yeh Jin.
I'll be definitely looking forward to seeing Jo In Sung in more variety programs, dramas and films this year.
