1 Night 2 Days Episode 406: Summer Night Trip (Part 1)

It has been a stretch of heatwave and it felt like an oven for the citizens of South Korea in the midst of summer. Now the 1N2D team are filming their Episode 406 of Summer Trip in the mid noon where Taehyun complaints it's the hottest time of the day. Big bro Juhyuk arrived late due to his injured leg in a cast while Junho teased him by sitting in his wheelchair. PD Yoo tells them bukbolbok game for sleeping area where they were flabbergasted when they were informed if they fail the mission, they have to sleep in the tents on the rooftop of the building at 40 over degrees temp! So they must win no matter what in order to sleep in an air-con pitch dark room with cool summer snacks and fans.

They were given a roulette with top idol group names on it to spin and throw the dart on it based on their luck. Of course the grown up men were hoping to get A-Pink girl group to compete an eating mission with them. However the first group they selected on the roulette was INFINITE. PD Yoo tells them to go invite them over while Defconn spotted leader Sunggyu behind them. They were like a hunch of gangsters and roping their way into their dressing room but were super nice towards A-Pink who is just beside the other room. Now Infinite boys are to challenge eating patpingsu (frozen iced dessert) with 1N2D in a relay. So Sunggyu, L and Sungjong were against Junho, Taehyun and Defconn. Sunggyu and Junho struggled at the start with the feeling of numbness of ice in their mouth. L who easily told them to eat like a pudding starting to feel the pain too after few gulps of ice into the mouth. At the end Defconn won the relay as he just drank the patpingsu as if it was a drink! Seongyeol was given the chance to throw the dart to select A-Pink however it was Beast instead! Hoya threw the dart again and still it was selected as Beast group. 

The guys went down to pick Beast however they were busy looking at girl groups and met GFriend girl group at another corner. Junho and Juhyuk were the last to arrive so these 2 men were grinning from ear to ear. The Beast boys were standing behind them seeing the grown up ajusshi greeting A-Pink happily as if they were invisible. The boys promised that they must win the eating watermelon mission in order to get their latest video played for 20 seconds for this program. First up was Dojoon, Dongwoon and Yangseob to play against Junho, Junyoung and Jongmin. Dojoon looked as if he was munching slowly the watermelon however when it came to Junyoung he looked as if he was eating some galbi ribs and ripping away through like a chipmunk in his cheeks! LOL! Dongwoon just keep eating and finally went to Yangseob who slowly finished his bits while Jongmin splattered his watermelon juices and bits everywhere. So Beast group wins and gets their vid played for 20 seconds as a promotion. Dojoon spins the wheel again and throws the dart. Again the dart fell onto Beast! 1N2D groaned as they were hoping for a girl group to compete against them. So Taehyun started his dirty tricks by blackening the pie chart to have the boy groups smaller and Junyoung managed to get the dart onto A-Pink's name. At last! Tsk tsk!

Eunji, Nam Joo and Bomi were up for eating cold kimchi noodles against Junho, Defconn and Jongmin. Surprisingly Eunji and Namjoo were fantastic when it comes to gulping down the guksu noodles in a blink of an eye. Everyone laughed and shocked to see how the girls ruined their images in order to have their videos played for that 20 seconds. Taehyun grumbled that the cameramen were all focussing on the girls instead of them. Junho struggled at the end as they left a whole bunch of kimchi for him to eat and it's too salty. Defconn couldn't eat kimchi so he had to push all the kimchi to poor Junho. Bomi chucked some noodles into Junho's bowl so that he could eat something. Hahah! Still 1N2D team won the mission but PD Yoo pitied the girls so they played their video Remember for 5 sec.

All grown up men were fast asleep after the mission in the cold air-con room and still had to continue filming in the evening through the hot warm weather. They were given missions to take night views of Seoul with those old fashioned zoomed in cameras (not digital cameras but film based cameras). To start off, they flipped a random magazine so whoever flips to a magazine page without any person in it will be last. Junyoung was first so he chose Bugak Skyway. Taehyun came in second so he chose Namsan. Junho was third and pick Mt Bong Ong while Defconn picked Tehran Street for food, Jongmin at Noryangjin Fish Market and lastly Juhyuk is Han River cruise due to his leg condition. Each of them have mission to complete before they can get to their cameras. 

Juhyuk has to spit out the names of the bridges in correct sequence otherwise they will pass the river without taking any photos. He just shook his head stating he might fail all and end up at just Olympic Bridge. Junyoung's mission is to read romance fortune telling for couples at Bugak Skyway but to the couples who came in, they laughed their heads off seeing how Junyoung read their fortunes to all full of bulls***. LOL! Junho's mission arrived at a village base and had to start eating ice-cream competition again! He whinned that he might end up having stomachache after eating so much of guksu and patbingsu earlier. His competitor a vendor stall seller, Mr. Baek gobbled up the ice cream within 5 seconds- even faster eater than Defconn! Shock!
