Taxi Driver film wins the Best Actor Award at Blue Dragon Awards.

The two movies- Taxi Driver and I Can Speak were the highlights of the evening at the 38th Blue Dragon Film Awards that was held at the Hall of Peace Hall in Kyunghee University in Seoul on the evening of the 25th November.

The main hosts of the the event were actress Kim Hye Soo and actor Lee Sun Gyun

Taxi Driver took home 4 awards- Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Audience Award and Music Award. I Can Speak swept 2 awards- Best Director and Best Actress Award. Veteran actress Na Moon Hee took the Best Actress Award at the age of 76. Song Kang Ho was awarded Best Actor Award for Taxi Driver.

The movie 'The Outlaws' has proven actor Jin Sun Kyu the Best Supporting Actor Award. For the past 20 years, Jin has came to the stage with tears and laughter mixed with a good impression that was completely different from the grisly Korean gangster. He joked that he is not a Chinese but a pure Korean citizen. Kim So Jin took the Best Supporting Actress in The King.

Actor Cha Tae Hyun remained solemn as he paid tributes to all the late actors and actresses- Kim Ji Young, Yoon Soo Jung, Kim Young Ae and lastly Kim Joo Hyuk. These late celebrities were memories for those who are living. There was some sadness felt among those who were present at the event.

Choi Hee Soo won the Best New Actress for her film Anarchist from Colony while EXO's Do Kyung Soo took the Best New Actor award for his movie 'My Annoying Brother'.

The Fortress took the Best Screenplay Award. Jo In Sung and Sol Kyung Gu were awarded Most Popular Male Award. Na Moon Hee and child actress Kim Su An won the Most Popular Female Award.  It is quite alarming to see The Battleship Island didn't win any major awards despite big list of A-actors in the movie. It only won Best Art Direction Award.
